10 nuggets of wisdom for your Saturday (Part 162)

Praise is about Jesus and not about our feelings but He gives us feelings when we fix our eyes on Him.

Praise is an attitude of the heart that openly gives to Jesus and receives Jesus.

In the middle of the biggest distress, God can still come and change the script of your life. Don’t dwell on the pages of sorrow. Embrace the Book of Life and accept what the Word of God has to say about your situation.

The enemy will keep on trying to charge you for crimes you did not commit. Remember that God is the judge and that He is in your favor. He will get you out of the guilt and the confusion that the enemy uses against you.

Humble yourself before the Lord and pray. Keep seeking His face and approach Him with reverence. A humble heart goes a long way. Pray with the right agenda and you will learn the beautiful ways of the Lord’s humble and powerful love.

The Lord rejoices over you and He sings over you. His songs are upbeat, uplifting and encouraging. Tune in to His tunes and you will hear a symphony of love.

The results are in! You are going to make it and you are going to win. Jesus guarantees your victory. Don’t lose hope. Wait until He gets you to the finish line knowing that it all ends very well in the name of Jesus!

God painted a picture of your life. He never forgets what it looks like and He enjoys looking at it. Ask Him to show you what your life looks like and you will be impressed by what you see.

God’s goodness had no end. Your blessings have no end. Your victories have no end. Your hope has no end. Your joy has no end. Pray to the Lord who has no end and your life will be a series of “no ends” to His glory!

Don’t worry about the strong winds. God’s love is your anchor and it will keep you in one place. You will not be moved and you will not be shaken when you rely on the Lord and His unshakable love.

Following God

Following God is not always easy but it’s the best thing we can do. It’s not living a life on a bed of roses like I used to think. I used to believe that because I was a Christian I would never have bad days and I would never have difficulties. I was young and innocent. I had the faith of a child but I didn’t understand that faith was not the absence of problems. My childlike faith was met with a lot of resistance and it disappeared after a while. I was very confused and I didn’t understand what God was all about. I felt let down by God when in reality He was always my ally and my comforter. I misunderstood what following God meant. I had my own version of it in my head that didn’t agree with the Lord’s reality. Jesus Himself said that in this world we would have tribulations. For some reason I didn’t discover that verse until I was older or maybe I didn’t embrace it and I ignored it. Tribulations and trials are part of everyone’s life, even Christians’ lives. God doesn’t make us “problem-proof” but He solves our problems and He helps us overcome them. Following God will not be a walk in the park but it will always be a walk with the Creator of the universe and that is enough to keep us safe, calm and confident. Following Jesus implies having a lot of confidence and trust in Him. It is a blind walk toward eternity. It is a walk that doesn’t end just because there are hurdles and obstacles on the way. It is devotion to the Lord and surrender to His majesty. It is making Jesus our priority and walking in His footsteps knowing that we are on the right path no matter what life throws at us. Today I want to encourage you to follow the Lord. Follow Him all the time. Acknowledge that your best spot is the spot you occupy when you are behind Jesus and He is leading the way.

Following God is following His heart before anything else. It’s having an intimate relationship with the Father and letting our lives echo the sentiments of His heart. It’s staying close to God and becoming a spitting image of the Father. Like I said earlier, it’s being aware that Jesus is always before us and that He knows what He is doing. It’s having the best role model in the world and imitating Him. It’s letting love invade us and stay in us. We can’t follow God if we don’t adopt His love and embrace it. God without love is not God. We can learn from the Bible and have a lot of knowledge about the things of the Lord but if we don’t apply it all with love as our guide, we won’t amount to much. We will be like the Pharisees who intellectualized God and who denied that love was of the utmost importance. Following God is not following a doctrine or a man-made ideology. It’s idealizing God and putting Him on a pedestal. We can’t follow God if we keep putting ourselves ahead of Him. We ought to always hold on to His commandments and to His way of living and of thinking. We can learn about them in His Word and be “doers of the Word” who are indeed following the Lord’s principles and His wisdom. His wisdom should be our source of knowledge and our wisdom should take a backseat.

There is a lot of blindness involved in following God. We have to keep being blind to the world. Not pretending that the world doesn’t exist but not giving the world power over us. When our circumstances are bad, we can’t let the world intimidate us and we can’t take things at face value. Following God is a blind walk that uses faith as a flashlight in the darkest times of our lives. When we walk behind the Lord, we tell ourselves that nothing can separate us from His love and we will always be in good hands. We know that He is our protector and our refuge so we can keep on walking with peace in our hearts. Friend, you will never go wrong when you follow the Lord. You will always be where you should be. It’s not always going to be easy but it will always turn out to be the best thing you could ever do. Follow the Lord. Remain in Him. Let His words remain in you. Make Him the center of your life. Let Him be your life. His love will support you and His Spirit will guide you. Keep following the best role model in the universe!

God has it all figured out

I scheduled my covid vaccine earlier this week like many other educators. I couldn’t get an appointment until later in the month. Then last night I saw that some earlier appointments had opened up. I canceled mine and tried to get one of the earlier ones. I tried for over an hour and I couldn’t get anything even though there seemed to be open slots online. I was frustrated to say the least but I didn’t want to go to bed feeling that way. I know how bad it is for my spirit and for my head. I even thought I wouldn’t be able to pray properly. Then I got into prayer mode and the Lord took over. It was as if He were taking my hand and telling me to join Him in His joy and in His peace. You know how it is when you are frustrated and angry and you don’t want to be around happy and fun people. It is different with the Lord. When I feel down, I look up and all I see is His love and it makes me want to touch Him. I got closer to Him and I let go. I let myself go and I let myself be touched by what He had to offer. The website had offered me grief and frustration but the Lord was about to replace it with gladness and serenity. He did just that. He traded my frustration for His goodness. I embraced His goodness and even though it was late, I stayed in prayer for a while. What filled me with gladness was that He told my heart not to worry and that He had a plan. He said He had it all figured out. Those words went right from my spiritual ears to my heart. It is what I needed to hear and it gave me tremendous peace. The Lord always has it all figured out. He is not clueless and He is not at a loss for a solution. He has always had the best solutions to our worst problems.

Not being able to get a covid vaccine appointment wasn’t a big problem. It was more of a nuisance than anything else and it bothered me. However, after my gladness session with the Lord, I found myself at peace and full of what I call “faith energy.” Faith energy is like a burst of faith that comes through at times. It is a boost and a step forward in the right direction on the faith continuum. God knew what I needed and He had it all figured out. That is what helped my faith. Knowing that He is in control was enough for me. My faith was blasting praises in my head and my heart was warm and glad. God has that effect on us. He makes us feel warm on the inside and His gladness in us shows on the outside. I could have spent the night trying to come up with a plan. All He wanted me to do was to trust Him. When I got up, I decided to call the vaccine center and see if they could help me. By that time there were absolutely no appointments available online. Calling sounded like a desperate move that was not going to lead anywhere but when you know God has it figured out, you go with His flow. I called at 7 am and I was on hold for 40 minutes when someone picked up. I explained my situation and the lady said she would try to see what she could do. She found a time slot for me for tomorrow Friday with the vaccine I was hoping to get. Come to find out the first appointment I had and canceled was another vaccine. God had it all figured out. What seemed like a (small) nightmare for an hour or so turned out to be an opportunity for the Lord to show me what He does best.

God will always show us that He has everything under control when we trust Him. We can choose to panic and lose hope or we can stick with God and follow His lead. That is what He wants us to do. Follow Him and not question Him. Every time we doubt or we give in to fear, we question God. We question His ability to help us and to save us. He never fails. He can’t fail us. He knows everything from A to Z and He doesn’t miss any letter in between. If you are trying to figure out the next steps in your life, take a step back and let the Lord lead you. Take a step back and give Him a chance to reveal His plan to you. His plan is to prosper you and to bless you. He won’t let your circumstances destroy you. He will destroy them for you. He knows how to get you out of the biggest mess and how to help in any situation you might find yourself in. God has it all figured out. Don’t worry. His plans are always the best!

Having open conversations with God

I was in a meeting yesterday where we talked about solving conflicts and bringing down the barriers of separation. One person said that it all starts with a conversation and I couldn’t agree more. We don’t talk to people enough. We jump to conclusions and we have preconceived ideas about the people we don’t know. A simple conversation can solve a lot of our issues and it can put a dent in the progress that prejudice and segregation have made. This whole meeting made me think about how we ought to have conversations with God. We pray to God and sometimes we sound more like robots who have everything memorized. We have an automatic and robotic approach to God when we should approach Him as the Father that He is. Fathers love to talk to their kids and to have open conversations with them. God is the Father of all fathers and He loves us, His children. He doesn’t want to have a stale relationship where we only talk to Him when we need Him. He doesn’t want to hear from us only when things go wrong. If we don’t have that open dialogue and those continued conversations, we won’t get to know Him well. He knows us better than we know ourselves so He is all set but talking to Him allows us to get to the core of who He is and to know His heart. Today I am inviting you to have open conversations with God. Pray to God often and make your prayers more like conversations between the Father that He is and the child that you are.

Parents, good parents, are interested in their children’s development and they want to make sure that their children have a good life and that they reach their full potential. God cares about every aspect of your life, friend and He desires for you to have the best life and to reach your potential. He is the amazing parent who encourages you, who helps you, who coaches you and who always has your back. Now, it is important that you communicate with Him because when you do, He talks to you as well. God is the best listener there is and a tremendous speaker. He speaks non stop. Out of His mouth come rivers of hope, love and joy. Everything He says is pure and noble. Everything He says is positive and motivational. Everything He says is laced in love and full of enthusiasm. Everything He says is powerful and life-changing. If you don’t give yourself the chance to have conversations with God, you will miss out on all the advice, the counseling, the encouragement and the hope He has for you. You see, God talks through many venues and when we establish a conversation pattern with Him, He talks to us in the ways that will get our attention and that will enlighten us and help us. Sometimes I talk to God during my prayer time and then I start to read the Bible and I am amazed at what I find. He gives me what I need and He replies to my inquisitive mind through His Word. That is one way He talks to us.  He knows what we are going to say but yet He loves hearing us talk to Him. He loves our voices and He rejoices every time we talk to Him.

I had a friend who always said that God rejoiced over me and that He was excited to spend time with me. I loved hearing that. It made sense but it wasn’t something I focused on. I changed my focus. I shifted my thinking. I understood that I needed to act on the knowledge that God loved spending time with me. He is always with me but I am not always with Him. The change came when I had my talking sessions with God. At first they were more about me talking and asking Him questions. He took the time to reply when it was the right time. Then those sessions became more about Him. They would start with me being quiet and listening. I loved those sessions so much because they made me realize how talkative the Lord is. I still have those sessions and they are a great source of encouragement and inspiration. God inspires. He gives us hope of a much better future and the hope that we can reach our full potential in Him. If we don’t stay in our heads and we open ourselves up to what God wants to tell us, we get inspired and we are thrilled about the great life we have with the Lord.We learn that He is interested in our development and He will always support us. Daily open conversations with God are key. They help us face the day and they give us an idea of who God is. He is love and when we listen to Him, we hear love speaking over our lives and we are confident that everything is going to be just fine. Have open conversations with the Lord. Talk to Him about anything and everything. Listen to anything and everything He has to say. Nurture your relationship with Him through prayers and conversations. It will make your life so much better. Keep talking to God! Keep listening to God!

God will assist you

I heard one of my students tell another kid that he would assist him and help him. I thought that was very nice and very mature of him. The kid was stressed about school and he wasn’t sure how he was going to be able to study for a certain subject. I loved seeing compassion in action. The student who offered his help felt compassion for the other student. He was confident that he knew the material very well and he could help the other kid. He was aware of his knowledge and of his abilities and he decided to put them to work for someone else. That made me think of how our Lord tells us all the time that He will assist us. We don’t always hear Him but when we panic and we are stressed, He is there telling us that He will assist us. I know that it is hard for me at times to hear His encouragement but I am learning to turn to Him right away before anxiety and stress set in. I am learning not to let those negative agents grow in me and take over my mind and my feelings. Negative thoughts and negative feelings can push us to do the wrong thing and they blind our judgement and our faith. They are like dark projections that overshadow the light of our faith. We have faith. Whether it is a mustard seed or a mountain. If we believe in God we have a portion or an amount of faith if you will. That portion gets stronger and more solid with time when we exercise our faith. When stress is in the house, we have to give it the boot and kick it out with the power of faith. Our faith should rise up and say “I am not going to panic. My God is going to assist me.” Today I want to remind you that God will always assist you. He has the knowledge and the ability to help you and to get you out of any bad predicament.

The Lord says we don’t receive because we don’t ask. It is harder to ask for help when we feel so helpless and our emotions are controlling us. God has all the help and all the power we need to make it in any situation. I believe it is important to develop strategies that lead us to resort to God right away. For some people writing things down on a piece of paper is effective. For other people, saying things out loud helps. For another group of people, reading the Word right when life hits them with bad news is the best way to deal with tough situations. Whatever works for you is what you should do but find a way to make God your go-to source of solutions. If you pressure the circumstances with God’s presence with all the different forms that work for you, you will see a difference. You will see hope get in the way of what is trying to destroy you or harm you. God will assist you and when you have faith in His strength and His divine assistance, things change. You will see your situation improve and your mind will be more at peace. I like to saturate myself with as much of the Lord as possible. I like to remind myself that no matter what, the Lord will assist me. He has the biggest heart that exists and His heart moves Him to do the impossible for you. His assistance is amazing and powerful. Keep in mind every time you have problems that the One you are turning to is most capable and willing to move Heaven and earth for you. He also paid the price for you and took care of your burdens on the cross so you don’t have to carry all this negative weight yourself.

We have an assistant every day of our lives. He is in us and with us. The Holy Spirit is the best assistant there is and He will never leave. Even when things seem worse than usual, He doesn’t leave. Even when we “don’t feel” God, He doesn’t leave. A few words of faith uttered from our hearts is all it takes to reverse those bad situations, those bad days and those bad seasons. When we acknowledge that the Lord is assisting us through His Spirit, we are on the right track. He starts giving us advice and He starts encouraging us. The Holy Spirit will always give us hope and give us peace. Friend, keep your head up. Go into every situation knowing that God will assist you. Even if things get very bad, He will still be very good. You have nothing to worry about and nothing to fear. The best assistant in the universe is helping you and taking care of you. Walk in peace and walk in faith. Things will always turn out for the best with the One who can do the impossible. Thank Him for His assistance and for caring for you so much! Praise the Lord!

Pray for others

God’s greatest commandment to us is to love Him and to love our neighbors like ourselves. It is a commandment that has been twisted and modified by men to the point where we tend to define what loving God and loving others look like. Our definition is sometimes miles away from the Lord’s definition. We add “but”, “except for” or “some” to that commandment. It sounds more like “Love God but love yourself more and love some of your neighbors like yourself” or “Love God and love your neighbors except for those who are different from you.” There are thousands of variants of that definition out there and it is sad. God plainly and powerfully stated that He should be our first love and that we should love everyone with no exception. It doesn’t matter if that doesn’t jive well with our upbringing or with our culture. It is God’s commandment and He made it clear that love should be unconditional. I am learning how to love God with all my heart and how to love my neighbors like myself. I will continue to learn and do my best and I am enjoying the lessons and the endless love possibilities that stem from God’s commandment. Now, one way we can show love for others is by praying for them. One way we can show love to God is to pray to Him.

The message I have had on my heart is to encourage you and to encourage myself to pray for others. Yesterday during prayer time the Lord spoke to me on the inside about powerful prayers that have no end. He told me about how there is always someone or something to pray about. There will always be tough situations that need to be broken by the power of prayer. There will always be someone who is suffering in private or in public and that person will need prayers. There will always be eyes that need to be opened to God, hearts that need to be mended, joy that needs to be restored, peace that needs to go into someone’s life and hope that needs to be revived. Everywhere we go we will always encounter a person that needs something from Jesus. Whether it is a smile, a hug, a word of encouragement or a prayer. The needs of this world will always be present and we are the ones who can help facilitate changes in this world in need through our prayers. We can pray for those who clearly need a breakthrough and we can pray for those who are not aware of what they need. Every single person you will ever meet can benefit from prayers. Every single person you will ever meet needs God’s love. Arm yourself with prayer and bring down the walls of fear, hatred, pain, anguish and perdition. You are praying to a God who can do all things so remember that your prayers are effective.

When you pray, God goes to battle. The battle belongs to Him. You don’t have to make things happen. All you have to do is pray and have faith. It is God’s will for your life that you are a person of prayer, a person of faith and above all a person of love. Your prayers are love letters about others that are penned in your heart by the Holy Spirit and that ascend to God the Father who is always listening. When you pray for others, you can’t go wrong. You are doing the right thing and you are sending love to that person. Don’t stop praying for others. Find someone new to pray for. Find situations to pray about. Bring it all to the Father in prayer and trust that He is answering. You might not see results right away and you might not understand how God is answering your prayers but know that He is. Nothing can stop the Lord. Nothing is impossible to Him and He is doing all the work. Don’t carry the prayers to the point where you think it depends on how powerfully you pray. The fact that you are even caring for someone else and that you are bridging the gap for them in Jesus’ name is very powerful. Let God’s love guide you. Stay in prayer and stay in faith. Pray as often as you can and for as many people as you can. No need to make a public announcement about your prayers but be sure to make a private declaration of victory in the name of Jesus. Pray for others every day. God’s love will flow to those who need Him and you will be walking in God’s will. Keep praying for others!

When you walk in the valley of the shadow of death

When you walk down the valley of death, nothing seems to bring you joy. There seems to be no hope on the horizon and you are in a mental prison where negative thoughts are criminal and positive thoughts are forbidden. We all walk through the valley of the shadow of death at some point. We have short or long trips down that valley. It is a place of despair and of sadness. The Lord tells us that when we are down in the valley, we shouldn’t be afraid and we shouldn’t be intimidated. Why? Because He is with us in the valley. David wrote about the dreadful valley in Psalm 23 and declared that even when he was the valley, he feared no evil. He had no fear when he was down there because he knew who his God was. He had total faith in God’s ability to rescue him and to protect him. You and I have the same God David had by his side in the valley of death. Our God is our refuge and our shelter. We could be in the deepest valley of death but nothing will separate us from God’s love. We could be going through the most excruciating time but the pain and the suffering are not too big for our God. When we go through the valley of the shadow of death, we need to turn to God. He might appear to be missing in action but that is just a spiritual optical illusion. God has not left but the mental prison has taken over and we ought to get out of there. Today I want to encourage you to turn to God and to trust Him in the deep valleys of death. Learn to rely on His love and to declare just like David that you will fear no evil because you know who your God is.

Even though you might be walking through the darkest valleys, you have nothing to fear because the Lord your Shepherd is there to assist you and to bless you. How does His company impact the valley of death? You have to look at what God is like. He is love, He is joy, He is almighty and powerful and He is peace among many other amazing things. When you are in the valley, He can give you love, peace, joy, faith, patience, self-control, long suffering, protection and hope. What you need to do is tap into the power of the Holy Spirit. That power is available when you pray. Prayer brings the Lord into the scene. Prayer opens a realm of possibilities. Prayer is made possible by the Holy Spirit. Every time you feel like praying or you are led to pray, it is because of the nudge from the Holy Spirit. It could appear to be a simple act or a natural thing but it is coming from the Holy Spirit. As a believer, you have the Holy Spirit in you. He is your biggest ally and your biggest strength. He is your connection to God and you should maximize that connection. Pray in the valley and speak. Pray in the valley and listen to the Lord. Speak and declare that you are with the Lord in the valley. Speak over your circumstances in the valley. Walk around the valley with confidence trusting that your Shepherd is there with you and that His rod and His staff comfort you like David said. When I first read about the Lord’s rod and staff, I had to look up those two words.

A shepherd has a rod and staff. A rod is a strong stick used to ward off wild animals and to protect the sheep. Here the rod symbolizes the strength and the protection of God. The staff is a long stick with a hook on it that allows the shepherd to save a sheep if it has fallen in a hole. The staff also symbolizes God’s protection and His love and care for us as well as His power to rescue us. God has a rod and a staff with Him when he is walking in the valley by your side. You have nothing to fear in the valley. Call on the Lord for help. Thank Him for His rod and His staff. Know that He will use them to get you out of the valley. You can walk in faith with your eyes fixed on the Lord. It is important that you can see the Lord when you are in the valley. If He is nowhere to be seen, change your focus. Sing to Him. Exalt Him. Praise yourself back to His presence. He doesn’t go anywhere but like I mentioned before, your mind takes you away from Him and hides Him from you. Renew your mind with singing and with the Word of God. You should always be able to see the Lord so to speak whether you are in the valley or not. I have long days when I am so busy that I can’t see the Lord. Sometimes I lose sight of Him just a few hours into my day. I am learning that as long as I can get back to Him quickly I am ok. A prayer or a few words of gratitude bring me back to Him. Find what helps you be in the presence of the Lord as often as possible. The Lord is with you today and every day. Valley or no valley He is there for you and with you. Don’t lose hope. Stay encouraged, friend!

10 nuggets of wisdom for your Saturday (Part 161)

God is not a world away but He is the way through this world. He is close to you all the time and He helps you navigate through this world all the time.

Give God the green light. Allow Him to bless you and to protect you. Every time you pray and trust, you turn that red light green and Heaven gets in the way of the enemy. Keep giving God the green light every day!

The way you bond with God in private will transpire through the way you interact with people. You will show love and compassion in public because of the love and compassion you will receive in private.

Expect an avalanche of peace, an avalanche of joy and an avalanche of love. Expect Jesus. Expect an avalanche of Jesus every day. He is with you all the time. The more you trust Him, the more you will see Him!

If you burned and crashed, don’t worry about anything. God is repairing everything. Don’t let the burn scare you and don’t let the crash make you think it is all over. God is going to restore you and make things better than they were.

No one loves people more than God. God is “a people Person.” He loves your presence. He loves you without any conditions. Trust the love that will never change. With God you are loved forever! He will always see you as good people.

You may not have a lot of followers but God is following you. He will never unfriend you and He will never leave you. Follow Him back and like all He says. Great blessings will come out of that connection!

Take a break and relax in the arms of the Lord. Cast your cares upon Him. Trust that He can give you rest. He will give you peace that surpasses all understanding.

Jesus died on the cross and paid for your sins. He covered all your iniquities and your transgressions so don’t cover your face in shame. You are forgiven in Jesus’ name!

Let God feed you manna from Heaven as you study His Word. Stay hungry. Stay diligent. Stay eager and stay open and you will grow in the knowledge of the Lord.

God says you are forgiven

Yesterday I wrote about what God says about us. He says that we are loved, we are saved, we are blessed, we are a blessing, we are people of faith and we have a strong spirit. He says a lot about us and it would take a long time to list everything. However, there is something else He says that needs to be underlined. God says we are forgiven. Jesus died on the cross for our sins so that whoever believes in Him shall be saved and receive eternal life. The eternal life He provides is marked by forgiveness. He redeemed us. He reconciled us with the Father. Our sins are forgiven. We have this new life where we can be in unison with God and we can walk freely. It is a hard concept for many of us especially when the enemy keeps making us feel guilty. He is the accuser of the brethren like the Bible says. He convinces people that they can’t be forgiven. He has the power of guilt and he uses it all the time against everyone. The enemy puts a lot of negative ideas in our minds and one of them is that God can’t forgive us and He can’t love us. The lies of the enemy are a menace to our faith but they are not bigger than the truth. The truth is that through Jesus’ blood we are redeemed. Our redemption was settled once and for all and there is no looking back or falling back into the trap of the enemy’s lies.

When I pray, I always repent and I always thank the Lord for forgiving me. There is the initial forgiveness when we accept Jesus as our Savior. That forgiveness allows us to move from eternal death to eternal life. That forgiveness washes us in the blood of Jesus and makes us whiter than the snow. I was led to thank the Lord for making me white as snow at a young age and I see that I need to revive that revelation from time to time. It is true every day. We sin every day and we can repent every day and that is when the subsequent forgiveness comes in. There is a thread of daily forgiveness that goes on and on. All we have to do is repent and ask for forgiveness believing that we are truly forgiven. Today I want to remind you that God says you are forgiven and He means what He says. Don’t be hard on yourself. No one is perfect but we are made perfect through the blood of Christ. I am not saying that it is ok to sin. It is not, but show me someone who never ever sins and then we can talk about that miracle. It would be a miracle indeed if someone never sinned. Jesus is the only One who has never sinned.

The power of the Lord’s forgiveness is sometimes underestimated. When you think of it, it is the reason why we can have a connection with God and develop a beautiful relationship with Him. His forgiveness changes lives. His forgiveness brings hope and it emphasizes His love for humanity. If there was no forgiveness, there would be no hope for today and for tomorrow. What would be the point of living a life where we could never be part of God’s family and where we could never know Jesus? Unfortunately it is very common for people to be stuck in a place where they can’t reach the truth of the Lord’s forgiveness. You and I can help our neighbors learn about the Lord’s forgiveness and about life in Christ. What separated us from God was gone the moment we accepted Jesus into our hearts. God said, “Child, you are forgiven. Live in Me and through Me.” There is no fear of never knowing God when we are forgiven. The key is to understand and believe that His forgiveness is for us today through the price He paid for our sins a long time ago. If anyone tells you that God will never forgive you for something you did, go talk to God about it and see what He has to say about the matter. His love settles all matters in the court of life. You are forgiven and the seal of His blood is on that powerful decision.

What God will always say is that His love for you covers all your sins. Thank Him today and every day because His love is enough, His grace is enough and His mercies are new every morning. Don’t let the enemy or anyone make you feel like you will never be loved by God. God is not mad at you no matter what life is trying to tell you. It is not true. He gave His Son as a sacrifice for eternity. Stay in the comfort of that truth. God is full of forgiveness and He knows you will mess up but He will still forgive you, love you and restore you back to peace. You are loved and you are forgiven. Stay encouraged!

This is what God says about you

God is who He says He is and you are who He says you are. He is a God of His Word. He doesn’t lie and He doesn’t compromise. Who does He say you are then? First He says that you are loved. Whoever you are, know that you are loved by Almighty God. Nothing about you can stop Him from loving you. It doesn’t matter if you believe in Him or not, He loves you and nothing can ever change His mind about you. His Son died on the cross for you and came back from the dead so you would have abundant life in Him if you accept Him as your Savior. Think about how every single person you will ever meet is loved by God just as much as you are. We all have something in common; we are all loved and the biggest and most powerful sacrifice was performed for us all.

If you are a believer, God says that you are saved. You are born again. Your spirit was renewed and you have a new life running through your spiritual veins. There is new hope, new mercies and new blessings available to you every single day. You have a Father who adores you, who protects you and who takes care of you. That is what the Lord says about you and He doesn’t lie. You have abundant life in Jesus. That means that there are no limitations to what the Lord can do in your life. You can grow spiritually. You can make mountains move with your faith. You can be healed. You can be encouraged in Him. You can be comforted and counseled by His Spirit. You have the Holy Spirit dwelling in you. That is what the Lord says about you.

As a host of the Holy Spirit you can worship and praise the Lord. Now it’s up to you to choose to grow in the things of the Spirit and to acknowledge His presence all the time. You see, the Lord says that we are to renew our minds with His Word. Even though we have the Spirit and our spirits are new, our minds are still a work in progress. One thing we need to work on is believing with our minds and our hearts that God is always with us and that with His Spirit

comes power. Power to live this life in Christ and to be conquerors all the time. God says you are a conqueror and that your faith saves you. He says that your faith activates His hand. Recognize that you are the person of faith that the Lord talks about and walk in the power of His love.

God also says that you have nothing to worry about and that He gave you a strong spirit that is not weak. This is something important that you ought to confess daily and to remind yourself daily. Fear is the enemy of faith. God doesn’t give fear and He doesn’t promote fear. He promotes faith and He encourages you in your faith. You can defeat fear in the name of Jesus. God tells you not to fear in His Word about 365 times. It is not something you should ignore. You have the power within you to beat fear because the Lord is with you. You are a person of faith who lives above fear. Believe it. Be in agreement with it.

God also says you are blessed. You are blessed wherever you go because He goes with you wherever you go. Stand on that truth and walk on your path with confidence knowing that you are blessed. God even says that you are highly favored. That is not a simple statement. It is a big statement made about you. It is part of the package deal of your salvation. God’s favor is on you and you are blessed in all you do and everything you touch is blessed. He also says that you are a blessing. Let Him use you to bless others. Serve with love and be a blessing to someone today. You are a blessing that can change someone’s world. That is what the Lord says about you. Get on the same page. Thank Him for all He says about you. He knows you better than you know yourself and everything He says about you is true and it should all be accepted in faith. Make a pact with God and agree that you will take Him at His Word and be grateful that He is a God of His Word. You are loved. You are saved. You are a person of faith. You conquer fear. You are blessed and you are a blessing.
