God is the difference

Yesterday I woke up to a very encouraging message. I love those early morning messages. They are like a ray of sunshine into my spirit even when it is cloudy outside. The Lord has a way of giving us encouragement like no one else. When I was waking up, I heard deep down inside that God is the difference. God is what makes a difference in my life. The God factor improves my life. He is why I live the life I have and why I am where I am. I am where He wants me to be and He will always take me from place to place according to His will. The God factor is an amazing thing. It is a blessing and it is a privilege. I am honored to know the Lord and to be a child of God. That’s what sets up apart, friend. We are part of God’s family and because we have Jesus as our Savior we have this advantage if you will that sets us apart. We have Jesus. That is something we can declare night and day. When things are good, we can sing that we have Jesus. When things are bad, we can proclaim that we have Jesus. Friend, we have Jesus and He is more than enough. He is the big difference in our lives and we can’t ignore it. When I woke up yesterday, the message was clear that I needed to continue to see God as the difference in my life that helps me live this life. I can think back to the times when I didn’t have God. I had the fear factor and the doubt factor and it was not a good life. There was very little to enjoy and most of what I lived had no substance. I was on the wrong path and I had no idea that there was a path I could find where Jesus is there and peace is in every step. Today I want to encourage you to remember that God is the difference in your life. You have the God factor and you don’t have an ordinary life. It is a life with the Savior. You have Jesus! What else could you want?

You have Jesus. Keep that thought alive in your mind all day today. Meditate on that truth and see what it does to your spirit. It will give you joy and peace. It will warm your heart and give you confidence that all is well and all will be well. Having the Lord on your side is the best thing that could happen to you. You are all set. You have the One who can do all things and who loves you unconditionally. Think about His love for you. It is more than a river, it is like an ocean that has no bottom. You can’t ever reach the bottom of the love of the Lord because it is deeper than any seas that exist in this world. The One who loves you more than anything in this world is always accompanying you. That blows my mind and it reassures me. Waking up to that strong revelation made my day. It is something I have known for a long time but when I heard it from Him in a powerful whisper, it made me glad. The Lord makes me glad and He knows how to keep me glad even when the adversity is fighting me. I want you to meditate on what God being the difference in your life means. I don’t want you to compare your life to the life of a non-believer. That is not the point. The point is to see how God makes a difference in your life on every level. You can compare your life to your old life without Him if that helps. No need to compare with others. This is your journey and your path. On this journey, the God factor is the power that makes your life so enjoyable and so special. He makes you special and He makes you who you are. In His eyes you are outstanding. Believe it. The Lord of Lords thinks you are to die for!

Every day when you wake up, you can have the blessed assurance that you have Someone who makes everything right. You can be confident that God is your fortress, your protector and your stronghold. With Him, hope is never lost. With Him, there is no change in the realm of the impossible made impossible. His power is available and He can do anything. Use the authority in His name and praise Him. Lift Him up. There is something extremely special about your life and it is your relationship with the Lord. It is such a blessing that keeps on blessing you and the people in your life. Maximize it and focus on it. Your relationship with Him is more precious than gold and silver. You have the winning ticket like they say. It is not the lottery but it is the covenant with God. See it as a document sealed by the blood of Jesus. I am very excited for you. You have the God factor and you can face every day with peace and faith. You are highly blessed and highly favored. May God bless you and protect and remember that He will always love you!

Help is on the way

I love watching first responders’ shows. I think that the responders’ work is amazing and inspiring. Those are people who save lives every day and who sometimes put their lives on the line to make sure that other people live. It’s remarkable! As a kid I loved Superman because he saved people and that concept of saving had a strong impact on my heart. Facing danger to save someone is so admirable. Superman is great but Jesus is greater. When I was old enough to understand what the Lord had done on the cross, I found my Superhero. I found the One who gave up His life so we could live. He did it for me and He did it for anyone who would welcome Him into his or her heart. Jesus is my hero and He is the most inspiring One there is. He did what He did so we wouldn’t have to do it. He didn’t save us so we would die for others. He saved us so we could live for others and testify to His glory.

With Jesus, there is always hope. When you find yourself in one of those accidents of life and you are not sure how you are going to make it, remember that there is always hope. The moment you pray to God, help is on the way. You might be stuck in that accident for a while but help is on the way. Put your hands together and pray. Help will find you. Keep in mind that there is nothing that can separate you from God’s love. God will find you wherever you are. Whether you are beaming with faith or whether you are down in the dumps with no hope. Nothing can hide you from God. He always sees you and He always knows where you are. When you are facing problems, it’s easy to feel lonely and abandoned. The truth is that you are not alone. God is with you and He is sending help your way. Dear friend, don’t get discouraged today. I am here to tell you that help is on the way. Stand your ground. Keep praying. Keep hoping. Keep believing. Help is always on the way when you turn to Jesus.

I was reading the news the other day and the more I was reading and the more I felt like it was the end of the world. The way things are presented leave very little room for hope. The good news you get is very small and it is always followed by something horrific. The world doesn’t take a break from hurting, from suffering and from chaos. People are facing horrible situations around the globe and it seems that the enemy finds new methods to torture people and to keep them away from God. The opposition will tell you that hope is hopeless and there is no help for the helpless. The Lord will tell you that hope is still alive and there is help coming your way. Choose to believe the Lord. Hang on to hope. Hang on to the tiny little bit of hope you have. It will trigger a chain reaction that will bear good fruit.

A little bit of faith is all you need to allow God to crack the shell of despair and to rescue you. God is a rescuer. He is a protector and the Savior. He has an army at the ready for you. You could be in the worst predicament and He would still be able to get to you and help you. Help is always available with the Lord. There is nothing and no one that can neutralize His power and His ability to help. Like I said before, pray. Turn to Jesus. Say a simple prayer. Ask Him for help and He will set things in motion. Keep Him in mind. Clear your mind of the lies of the enemy. One way to be able to do that is by spending time in the Word. When you do, hope grows stronger and stronger in your heart.

Help is on the way today so rejoice over what the Lord is doing even if you don’t see it. He is behind the scenes lining up favor and blessings. You don’t have to understand it all. All you have to do is hope and trust that things will change. Have a Holy Ghost party while you are waiting. It sounds contradictory to what the world tells you to do but I am telling you that if you celebrate the Lord during your times of trial, He will turn things around for you. He will reverse your situation. He will send help and you will get out of your nightmare. God has better dreams for you. You are going to be able to sleep soundly knowing that He is always there for you. Tell yourself that help is on your way. Thank Jesus. Thank Him for His goodness. Things are going to get better. Things are going to get much better. Angels are being dispatched as we speak. Don’t lose hope. Jesus is the hope that will carry you through all your trials and tribulations. Stay strong. Something amazing is coming your way in the name of Jesus!

Communicate with the Holy Spirit

What would you ask Jesus if you saw Him face to face? What would you want Him to tell you if He walked into your bedroom and sat next to you? Have you ever thought about that? I used to ask these questions to myself all the time. Then I realized that He is always here. He is always around. He sent His Spirit to be with us so we could have our questions answered and so we could experience Him sitting next to us. Having a relationship with the Holy Spirit, being Holy Spirit conscious, honoring and respecting the Holy Spirit are all very important. Jesus gave us His Spirit as a gift and we can’t ignore Him or overlook Him. I overlooked the Holy Spirit for too long. I did not receive the precious gift of the Lord. I was too busy being religious and I missed out on the greatest One. Jesus didn’t send the Holy Spirit so we could have Him only when we are drowning. The Spirit will help us for sure but He is there for us so we can have a relationship with God all the time. The Holy Spirit is the link between God and us. We can’t get to know God without the Holy Spirit. We can’t get close to Jesus without the Holy Spirit. It’s time we embraced the divine gift. It’s time we acknowledged the Holy Spirit. He wants to be close to us and to be the family that He is. My prayer life, my praise life, my faith life and my spiritual life all improved when I started including the Holy Spirit. Today I want to invite you to invite the Holy Spirit into every part of your life. Talk to Him. Pray with Him. Listen to Him. Sing thanks to Him. The Holy Spirit will get you close to Jesus in a new way when you let Him be in control.

What makes a good and solid relationship? Many people would say that communication is key. If we want to have a good relationship with the Holy Spirit, we need to turn that key every day and use it to open the door to His greatness. Yes, the Holy Spirit is great! He is God. He is the Lord. He is amazing. He is our family and He is with us and in us. He was dormant in me for years because I didn’t know how to approach Him. I wasn’t sure what the proper etiquette was. I was too formal and too rigid in my thinking. I saw Him more as a distant judge and I didn’t dare to talk to Him unless I was saying one of my mundane prayers. Then He sort of burst and exploded into my life. He came and invaded my life. He showed up and gave me a new lease on life. He didn’t come alone. He came with joy, peace and love. He came with an immense smile and with a huge amount of love. I experienced Him through love. I once was told that when the Holy Spirit would be part of my everyday life, He would be there in a big way. I didn’t know what it meant until it happened. I didn’t look for Him directly. I put the key in the door and turned it. The key was communication but it had the form of praise. I got to know the Spirit better through praise and worship. I started to get up early, very early every morning to praise the Lord. The goal was to pray but it always began with praise. I would sing a few songs and get into the zone. That zone was the Jesus zone. A place where Jesus was lifted up and His presence was tangible. Praise works, friend. Praise brings the Lord unto the scene. There is no specific formula. It just has to come from the heart and to be centered around Jesus.

Praising and worshipping is how I tapped into the power of the Holy Spirit. Now, one thing that is very important to remember is that the desire to praise and pray comes from the Holy Spirit. He is the instigator. He is the originator. He puts those desires in us and when we lean on Him and go with His flow, we are in full communication with Him. Why? When we pray and praise, we offer words and adoration to the Lord. In return, He shows up and He talks to us. He has many ways of talking to us. He will use the best way that can get your attention. He wants to hear from us. He wants to hear us. He wants to be intimate with us. I often see worship and praise as an opportunity for the Spirit of Jesus to express Himself through us and to us. The Bible talks about praise hundreds of times for a reason. It is a powerful way to communicate with the Lord. I get messages when I praise and pray. I get an impartation of joy, of love, of peace. The Holy Spirit does that. When you are in communion with Him, you receive parts of Him. He won’t leave you empty and He won’t disappoint you. Talk and He will listen. Listen and He will talk. He will always point at Jesus. He will always encourage you to be the best worshipper you can be, the best Jesus lover you can be and the best person you can be in Jesus. Develop that relationship and get to know Him. He is more than incredible. He is miraculous and loving. Communicate with the Holy Spirit every day. It will make your life so much better!

Reaching out to the Lord with arms wide open

When I was driving home from work yesterday, I was reminded of a message the Lord had given me a while ago during a prayer session. He had softly spoken to my heart and said “Increase your own praise and your own gratitude.” I listen to a lot of Christian music and sing along. It is a great way to exalt the Lord but there is something about singing your own praises. There is something special about letting our worship come from the heart and touch the heart of the Lord. When the words come from your soul and you let them flow, it creates a beautiful atmosphere where the Lord is lifted up and His presence is intense. There are  times in worship and praise when the presence is tangible and the glory is right there. Speaking to the Lord directly, relying on our own appreciation of Him and making Him the focus of our worship is a powerful thing. As I was driving yesterday, I decided to increase my own praise and my own gratitude. I repeated “Jesus, thank You for Your divine love. Thank You for taking care of me. No one is like You. No one is like You.” I said it over and over again and I started smiling. It was as if I were extending my arms and reaching out to Him. I was stretching my arms of praise and touching His garment like the woman who wished she could only touch His clothes and she would get deliverance. Praise touches the Lord and brings deliverance. I have experienced the amazing freedom that comes from praise on many occasions. Yesterday it was all about reaching out and touching His goodness. I sang my own song and my car was filled with peace, joy and anticipation. When I am in praise mode, I am always expecting that something is going to happen. I expect His love to guide me. I expect His Spirit to take control of me. I expect Jesus. I simply expect Jesus and He never lets me down. Today I want to encourage you to stretch out your hands of praise and gratitude and touch the Lord.

The Lord is moved by our praises and our gratitude. He opens the floodgates when we open the doors of praise. I have kept my praises inside for too long. I just want to let them out and give them to the Lord. Sometimes when we are too focused on ourselves, we deprive the Lord of the praises He deserves. Every moment that we lament and we think about our situations, our problems, our issues without reaching out to the Lord is a wasted moment. I used to be the king of overthinking. I would let the thoughts roll around in my head until I couldn’t think anymore. Overthinking doesn’t take God into consideration. It often puts us at the center and it tries to show us that we will never make it because we are not strong enough, not powerful enough or we don’t have what it takes to get through our circumstances. I gave up the crown and turned to the King of kings. Jesus is in control and acknowledging His supremacy in my life has had a major positive impact on me. He is worthy of my praise and my gratitude so at random times I reach out to Him with my hands of worship and honor Him. I talk about His goodness and I let myself hear about His love and His kindness for me and for the entire humanity. Jesus is unparalleled. There will never be anyone like Him and that alone is praiseworthy. When you get into your car, when you walk around, when you are at home, reach out to the Lord. Speak about Him. Talk to Him. Lift Him up. Put Him on the pedestal where He belongs. It will warm your heart, influence your mind and give you strength.

Praise and gratitude are the dynamic duo that we all need on a regular basis. We make friends with too many negative agents that distance us from God. Praise and gratitude are two great friends to have and if we let them in every day, they will change us on the inside out every day. We underestimate the power of praise. The enemy hates our praises and he will do whatever he can to interrupt our praise time and to distract us from being grateful to the Lord. The enemy knows the power that praise and gratitude brings unto the scene and he is afraid of the damage us praising believers can inflict to his territory. Praise and gratitude take back what the enemy has stolen and they get us closer to God. They are a great way of reaching out and experiencing God. Be that  grateful person you were meant to be. Sing your own praises. Sing along songs but make up your own praises as well. Speak gratitude over your life and be the voice of thanksgiving that you truly are. Use your own words. You don’t need to sound fancy. Speak from the heart. The Lord always hears you. Reach out to Him every day. Reach out to Him with arms of praise wide open. Don’t wait!

It’s a new day

God’s mercies are new every day. I love that! Today is a new day, friend! Hope for the best. Hope for God’s best. Great things can happen today. Leave yesterday behind and focus on what the Lord is doing in your life today. Know that He is blessing you all the time and when you let your faith take control, His blessings get out of control. You are going to experience so much more peace than you have before. Trust that His peace is part of this new today. His new mercies come with a new set of joy, peace, love and more. All these amazing things are coming today. Have faith that they belong to you and you will see what Jesus does for you. New day, same God. New opportunities, same God. New mercies, same God. What God did yesterday, He can do today and in an even bigger way. What the devil stole yesterday can be restored today. Anything can happen in the name of Jesus. There is a new breakthrough on the way. Don’t let your mind tell you that things will never get better. Today is the day you can see how great the Lord is and you can rejoice over Him because He created today for you. This day will not go by without you being blessed. Embrace the newness and embrace the goodness of God. It’s a new day and you are going to have new experiences in the name of the Lord and you are going to have an awareness of God in your life. Don’t focus on what happened in the past. Look at what today is bringing into your life. It is good and amazing and it is coming from the Lord. Today is the day the Lord has made. Rejoice and be glad in it!

Today there is a reason to rejoice. Not only is it a new day and something great could happen but it is also a day that the Lord made. He makes every day. Good things can happen during the day He made. Now, the enemy will inject some of his venom during the day to try and spoil it for you but don’t let yourself be troubled. God is by your side today and He is in charge. At the start of the day, show the Lord you believe He is in charge. Declare Him over your life. Declare Him over your day. Denounce the lies of the enemy and proclaim the truth of the Lord. The truth is that you are blessed. The truth is that Jesus is your Savior and nothing can take that away from you. Today is the Lord’s day and you are the blessed recipient of that day. God is putting things together just for you and they are wonderful things. Today you are entitled to the best the Lord has to offer. Develop that mentality. Rewire your mind with the Word of God and learn that the Lord wants you to be blessed. Discover how His new mercies are available for you every single day. It’s a second chance, a third chance, a fourth chance with the Lord. Don’t get discouraged if yesterday wasn’t great. Today is going to make up for the sadness of yesterday. Seize the day by seizing the truth of the Gospel. Jesus is your Lord and He provided for today when He died on the cross and came back from the dead. The power of His resurrection is in every hour of today!

Get on the boat of gladness and make it a point to stay positive all day. Celebrate the Lord Thank Him for this incredible day. Accept His gladness and remain in the power of His joy. Keep your head up. Remember that God has made a way and His way is still in front of you. The obstacles and the hurdles of yesterday are going to get out of the way. God has a path to His blessings and that is where you are going to walk today. You are going to stay on His path and walk with confidence knowing that God has a plan for you and it is out of this world. Today is a new day and you are being touched by the Holy Spirit again. His fresh fire is coming upon you as you stay in faith. He is filling you with His presence so you can make the most of today. Thank God for today. I am glad and excited for you because today anything good can happen to you. Keep your hopes up and expect the best in Jesus’ name. New mercies will give you what you need and more. God is planning a day to remember. Remember to thank Him and to stay grateful. Enjoy this new day! God will be with you all the way!

God cares about your heart

I used to think that God was a distant entity who didn’t mingle with us humans very much. He was hard to approach and He was standoffish. Little did I know that He was the total opposite. He cares more than anyone I know. He cares more than my family and my friends. He is interested in all of us and in every part of our lives. He knows all there is to know about us and yet He acts like every part is very meaningful to Him. He could hate us because of who we are, because we are all sinners but He died for us so we could be redeemed and we could have a relationship with Him. That is just so amazing when you think about it! He has restored us and made us part of His family. One thing that God made clear to me is that He cares about my heart. He cares about my feelings and my emotions. I had never known Him to be that caring and I feel bad for all the people who have been misled and who believe that God is not concerned with our hearts. He is. What we think, what we feel and what we experience all matter to Him. God wants us happy and joyful. He wants to be the center of our lives because He knows that is the best thing for us. He is not arrogant, self-centered and selfish. The best thing we can ever live and experience is a relationship with Him and that is what He desires for us all to have. The very best is what we deserve in His eyes. Finding peace, joy and love is not an impossible goal. It can all happen when we stay close to God and we let Him lead our lives and impress us with His goodness. Our hearts go through so much because of everything that goes on in this world. The world will always be in turmoil and there will always be reasons for us to be troubled but Jesus cares. Jesus cares about your heart and mine. Remember that every day Jesus cares about your heart.

Jesus died for you. He died for your heart. He died so you would have a good life and you would be joyful. Joy is important to Him. He is joy. He is not a sad God. Whoever tells you that you have to be sad and down to please God is not well-informed. God would never want you to have the opposite of Him. He would never want you to have a life where the enemy is ruling your heart and filling it with negative junk. That junk is not from God and it will never be. Your heart is the engine of your spiritual being. Your heart is the core of your character and of your faith. When your heart is troubled, your faith is affected and your personality is contaminated for lack of a better word. Your heart is the director for the movie of your life. Your heart takes you into the right direction and into the wrong direction. Out of the abundance of your heart come good things or bad things. God cares about what’s in your heart and He encourages you to make sure that your heart is governed by Him and by love. Love should be the headmaster of your heart. God should be the king of your heart and everything else should be subject to Him. Take a look at what’s in your heart. You will find out what’s in it when you pay attention to what you say and to what you think about the most. Your thoughts and ideas will always find their way to your heart so it is crucial that you filter them and that you have a good handle on them. Jesus is the best filter!

God is very interested in what’s in your heart like I have been saying and that means that He has a plan for your heart and it is possible for your heart to be kept strong and to be joyful. God can help with your heart. He can show you how to keep it strong and how to fill it with joy and peace. The first step is to put Him in your heart. Know and understand that there is no substitute for God. He has to be the One you focus on and you adore. Develop a relationship with Him. Make Him the focus of your thoughts. You can achieve that by reading the Word, by praying more than usual and by praising the Lord. Don’t wait for church to praise and pray. Don’t wait for Sunday to talk to God. Give Him a chance to talk to you every day. Your heart can easily be impacted by the world so there is a need for a stronger relationship with the Lord. It takes time, effort and dedication but is it the best thing you can do. When you do, God will impart His peace and make your heart feel safe. He will pour joy into you and make your heart be glad. He will shower you with His love so you can give out His love to the people in your life. God cares about your heart and He has the power to keep it blessed and free from worry. God will remove worry and fear from your heart when you give your heart to Him. Trust Him with your heart! He will make you glad!

The God of miracles

What do you need now? What do you need for your situation to get better? You might need a miracle or at least it might feel like a miracle is what it would take for your circumstances to improve. The good news is that God is in the business of miracles. He is the inventor of miracles and He has a lot of experience with miracles. As a matter of fact, miracles are in His veins. God is a miracle. That is how I see Him. He came into my life and saved me. He is the miracle I had been waiting for so long. I am getting to know Him and I am learning about His miracle-working power. He is more proficient in miracles than anyone you will ever meet. Therefore, you should go to Him. Turn to Him today. Ask for your miracle. Pray to Him. Be a relentless prayer warrior and show Him that you know He is the miracle maker. God is a miracle maker. What seems like a miracle to us is just another normal act to Him. Parting the seas, turning water into wine are just everyday occurrences for Him. We don’t see them happen because we don’t have the faith for it. It sometimes takes corporate faith for major things like that to take place. Get to know the God of miracles. In the Bible you will find many accounts of His miracles and you will be amazed by His power and by what He can do. He can do the impossible. If there is one thing you should retain from this message is that God can do the impossible. Your miracle is not that far away and it is not something God has to come up with after a long period of reflection and planning. God can reverse any situation, restore anything that needs to be fixed and improve any circumstances. There is something great that will happen to you when you rely on God. You don’t have to bring a huge amount of faith to Him. All He needs is your mustard seed of faith and a heart that is open and willing to receive from Him. The God of miracles can take your situation and make it so much better that you will completely forget that you were in distress at one point.

The parting of the Red Sea is one of the miracles in the Bible that has had the most impact on me. It is an act of God that represents what God can do very well. Who could part the seas and make a path for people to walk on if not God? I am sure that with today’s technology men could do something similar but we are talking about an event that took place centuries ago when such a thing was inconceivable. I have been faced with a Red Sea of my own before. A barrier, a huge hurdle, an impossible situation that kept me from reaching a place of peace. I have contemplated that sea and thought many times that there was no way I would be able to go through it or to come out of it in one piece. My heart used to get broken a lot and I would find its many pieces on the threshold of hope with too much discouragement to even think of repair and restoration. However, God has come through for me all the time. He has picked up the pieces and put my heart back together better than it had been before. God is not intimidated by the seas. It doesn’t matter how big and rocky the oceans of your life are. God can part them and neutralize them. With one word He can make them move away from your path and He can make you walk on dry land. Think of the dry land as the path to your miracles. Many are the paths of the Lord so be assured that no sea can stop Him and He will not only make your path clear but He will make sure that it leads to a great miracle.

When I started thinking about how miracles are nothing extraordinary for God, it helped my thinking align with God’s. Miracles are amazing events that defy logic and nature. God is an amazing God who defies logic and nature and it is in His nature to create miracles. Trust and believe that the miracle you need today is something that God will do for you very easily. Trust and believe that God loves you very much and He is more than willing to shower you with miracles. Trust and believe that Jesus is the same yesterday, today and forever and He has never stopped performing miracles. Join the group of believers that know without a doubt that miracles are for us today. Join the group of believers that understand that God is the miracle-worker that the world needs today. The outcome of your current situation doesn’t hinge upon your abilities, your money, your intellect and your luck. It all depends on your Savior and He is the God of miracles. He is the One who is going to solve your problem. He is the One you should put in charge of your situation by faith. It is not over yet. Your miracle can still take place. God is not too late and He is not limited by time and space. He has enough room to create something miraculous in your life and He always has the perfect timing. You are so blessed! You can count on God

How many people can you count on? How many people can you go to for help and for advice? How many people can you call in the middle of the night and you know for sure that they will pick up the phone? How many people can you rely on all the time? I would think that most of us have a small group of friends and family members we can count on. There are different degrees of reliance and different degrees of help we can get. Not everyone will be there for us and once we discover that, we can get very disappointed. At least that was my experience. We are all humans and we have our limits. However, there is Someone we can always count on and who will never let us down. The Lord is the One who is more faithful than any human beings. He is reliable at all times even in the middle of the night. He doesn’t look at the phone and picks up if He feels like it. God is no respecter of persons and He is there for all of us. He is always willing to help and always willing to take care of us. He is our lamp and our salvation. We don’t have to fear anything and anyone. He is the stronghold of our lives. David declared it and we should repeat it. God is a reliable stronghold and fortress always present in times of trouble and in any season. It doesn’t matter what season you are in today, you can count on God.

A stronghold is hard to destroy and when the Lord is your stronghold, you can rest assured that He can’t be destroyed. His faithfulness is part of who He is and nothing can alter it, remove it and destroy it. He is faithful and that is something we should remember all the time. When things are not going well, God’s faithfulness is still good and reliable. When we go through beautiful seasons, His faithfulness is very beautiful. When we go through tough winters, His faithfulness is very beautiful as well. Your stronghold can’t let you down. Keep that truth in the middle of your heart. Live by it. Live by the fact that you can count on the Lord. It will change the way you look at things, the way you look at life. Life is so much better when we have someone we can always count on and when that someone is the Lord, we have the best companion ever.

When I read in the Bible that we shouldn’t put our trust in mere humans, it made me think of how much I trusted people more than I trusted God. I think that trusting people is a normal reaction but it is a reaction that we ought to change. Not only because people can let us down but also because God knows best and He is the ultimate helper and counselor. It makes more sense to trust in the creator of the universe than to trust in people with limited abilities to help. Should we mistrust people in our lives? I truly don’t think that is the answer. I believe that we should trust God first and He will use people to help us. We should go to the source of all solutions first and let Him take control of the situation.

Trust in the name of the Lord. Trust in the power of His love. Trust that He will always protect you and get you out of trouble. If you are facing a tough season now, keep in mind that you can count on God. You can count on Him to assist you during this season and to get you through it. Help is on the way. The end of your misery is on the way. You can count on things to get better in the name of Jesus. You can count on relief and peace. You can count on Jesus. He is not going to let you down. He has something amazing for you. Don’t lose hope. He can be trusted at every hour of the day and during any time of the year. Great things are going to happen to you. God’s faithfulness is pushing hurdles away and making things right for you. You can count on God! Stay encouraged!

The art of rejection

Rejection is the act of not accepting, believing or considering something. We experience rejection at some point in our lives. Rejection is a negative experience but it can be a very positive experience as well. I call it the art of rejection. When we don’t accept and don’t believe what the enemy is doing in our lives, rejection is a positive experience. I call it an art because it is the application of our creative skill or imagination. We can find ways to reject what the enemy does and the more we do it, the more skilled we become and it ends up being a positive expression of that skill. The skill of rejection is powerful. It comes with faith, hope and perseverance. We can stand our ground and refuse to be subject to what the enemy does in our lives. We can reject his negativity and stay in faith. When we have hope in the Lord, we are skilled believers that know how to reject the enemy. We can reject negative thoughts. We can reject negative situations. We can reject negative words. We can reject fear. We can reject doubt. We can reject discouragement. We can reject the enemy altogether. We can reject everything that stands in our way in the name of Jesus. We can reject anything that comes against the Word of God. We can reject negative reactions to what happens to us. We can reject conformity to the world. Today I want to encourage you to practice the art of rejection and give the devil the boot. Don’t let him take advantage of you and lie about your life. He is a liar and he has no business dictating you how you should conduct yourself and lead your life. Reject his suggestions. Reject his lies. Do it in the name of Jesus!

The Bible tells us to resist the enemy and he will flee. This means that resisting him is not impossible and it also means that it is something we should be doing all the time. We let the enemy take too much ground in our lives. He is not entitled to any space in our lives. He has no right to rule over our lives or over any part of our lives. He is an outsider that should remain an outsider. However, he infiltrates himself into our thinking, our actions and our words but it is time we put a stop to his squatting habits. We can take a step back and look at what he has stolen. God can restore anything the enemy has taken from us. I believe it is important to reject the enemy’s lies about our lives being broken forever. He tells us that what we lost is gone forever. He tells us that God can’t fix our lives and He can’t give us what we have lost. All those ideas are lies we should be rejecting until our faith in God’s ability to restore us is stronger. Make it a priority to reject the lies of the enemy on a regular basis. Find a scripture that denies what the enemy says. For instance you can reject the lies by saying that greater is the Lord that is in you than the enemy that lives in this world. Every time the enemy whispers how devastating he is and how damaged you are, remind him that Jesus is much greater and much more powerful than him. Remind him about the cross. Talk about the Lord’s resurrection and the enemy will run. Do it as often as you can. Reject the enemy. Don’t buy into his schemes. You have the Savior on your side and in His name you can reject the foolishness of the devil.

When you submit yourself to the Lord, you instantly reject the enemy. You put yourself under the protection of Almighty God and you trust in His love for you. Submitting to the Lord implies knowing and believing that He has won against the enemy. His victory is still valid today and you can use it to reject the enemy. When negative thoughts come to mind, rebuke them in the name of Jesus. Replace them with words of the Lord. When something bad happens to you, reject any kind of negative reaction. Reject whining, getting discouraged and being negative about the situation. Refrain from saying anything that doesn’t exalt the Lord above your circumstances. God will assist you when you submit to Him and you reject the enemy in the name of Jesus. Like I said before, reject the enemy every day. Let it become an art and you will see how good you get at it. It will become a habit and you will do it mindlessly. The Bible says that we should watch and pray that we may not enter into temptation. Let’s watch what we do and say. Let’s pray we have discernment. Sometimes we are not aware of what we let the enemy do to our lives and we don’t know what to reject. The Holy Spirit is a great helper who gives us the power to be sober-minded and to find out what the enemy is doing to us. My prayer today is that you keep rejecting the enemy and you keep including the Lord in everything you say or do. The art of rejection is a great expression of the authority that belongs to us in the name of Jesus. Keep expressing it!
