10 nuggets of wisdom for your Saturday (Part 42)

We get too easily attached to things that are too easily detaching us from God!

It should always be about what we bring to the table and not what we get first. When we sit down at the table of life, we should be serving love, putting a big dose of hope in other people’s dishes, pouring down the water of life in every glass and making sure love is on every plate. Our contribution to the potluck of life should always be Jesus!

God doesn’t love people the way we love them. God doesn’t hate people the way we hate them. When talking about how God loves people, we have to remove our filters, suppress our feelings and emotions and let God speak for Himself. When talking about how God hates certain people, we have to take back all those words and let people know that God doesn’t hate anyone!

The main function of a lemon tree is to produce lemons. A lemon tree that would produce oranges would be dysfunctional. On our Christian walk, God is the tree and we are the branches. We are branches whose main function is to produce the fruit of the Spirit. Let’s not be dysfunctional branches that produce the fruit of the flesh instead.

God will always show up when you praise and you worship Him because He can’t deny Himself!

Trust the Lord with what comes next. He will surprise you and make your spirit do somersaults of joy over and over again because your next chapter will make you leap ahead!

Let hope come first. Let faith come first. Let joy come first. Let patience come first. Let peace come first and above all, let love come first with God, His Word and His Son!

Jesus did more for mankind than all the world leaders that have ever existed combined. He waged war against death and won while some leaders led with death and lost.

The Lord is not on a human level. He is above our level so He can pull us up to His level.

Jesus created a pathway to Heaven for you the believer. You are going through that pathway right now. Remember where you are headed and don’t dwell on where you came from!
