Living your life like God won your battles

There is a constant battle between good and evil and if we observe what’s going on in the world, we can conclude that evil wins most of the time. However, there is hope in many corners of the world. There is a movement of love that is rising on the heels of hope and peace. There are believers who stand for good and who win the battle against evil every day. There is a group of people whose love is stronger than hate and whose hope is grounded in the Lord. They live their lives like Jesus won. They live their lives in faith. They live their lives based on the Lord’s reality and not the world’s reality. They go through trials and tribulations but they win the battles thanks to their trust in God. They fall but they get right back up. Faith is more than a crutch for them; it’s a way of life. Today I am inviting you to join the group of believers who live their lives like God won. I am encouraging you to stay in that group if you are already there. The battle between evil and good is raging but it was truly won over 2000 years ago on the Cross!

I feel so inspired every time I read that “Faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.” * It challenges me to exercise my faith. It makes me pick areas of my life where I need to have confidence in what I hope for and assurance about what I don’t see. Every day can seem like a struggle and I need to have the assurance that my struggles were already defeated by the Lord and I need to have the confidence that the defeat will manifest sooner or later. Faith tells me to be confident that God is good and that He is on my side. That confidence should always set the tone for how I live my life. Knowing that God is good is primordial because it signifies that in His infinite goodness, He died to save me and to give me His abundant life.

Does the Lord’s abundant life include victory over evil? I certainly believe so. His abundant life is saturated with good and it nullifies evil. It doesn’t prevent evil from coming but it destroys it. The victory on the cross of Calvary gets repeated in our lives. It was done once and for all and now it is accessible through faith. Faith is the weapon that gets us to the victory. It doesn’t matter what things look like, with faith we have the assurance that victory will materialize. Faith gives us a different set of eyes. It allows us to see what we don’t see in the natural. It opens our eyes to God’s vision for our lives and His vision is laced in victory.

Let’s live our lives knowing that God won against evil. Let’s live our lives with joy. There is a joy that comes from God that silences fear, doubt and worry and that amazing joy surfaces through faith. It is in us and we should let it be expressed every day. Living like God won implies thanksgiving and praise. It also means that we are speaking with confidence over everything that happens in our lives. We are using the language of victory and words of triumph. Live today like Jesus won against every obstacle and problem and you will live out God’s reality for your life!
