If you believe in God you most likely believe in Heaven. Do you see Heaven as a final destination for later or do you see it as a destination that does impact your present because of salvation today? Do you believe that God rubs Heaven against your world today and gives you glimpses of eternity? I believe that God’s Kingdom is at hand and that because of Jesus in my life I have access to the Kingdom every day. Knowing Jesus alone is Heaven to me. Knowing and talking to the King of kings is heavenly to me. He does take me into His presence daily during prayer or just randomly throughout the day. The joy and peace I experience are not of this world. Heaven is at hand and the Lord is holding it making it accessible to all of us if we believe. I am not saying that I am living in Heaven while on earth. The world is very much real to me all the time but the Spirit of the Lord interrupts that reality with His.
Some people picture Heaven as a quiet place where piety reigns and silence is supreme. From what I read in the Bible, Heaven is loud. Why? It is loud with praises and worship. It is not a negative loud atmosphere. There is a loud noise of joy that clashes with peace and that is adorned with love beyond human love. Heaven is loud and there is a lot of talking going on. All the talking is about Jesus, about His majesty. Everything and everyone in Heaven talks about Jesus and magnifies Jesus. The language they use is powerful. What does it sound like? From what I read it sounds like a language that not everyone can understand. It is a language that is understood by the heart and articulated in the spirit. Heaven speaks the language of Jesus. Heaven speaks the language of love. It is a language that bans many of our world phrases and words. There is no negativity in it. It doesn’t contain hate and it doesn’t take death and defeat into consideration. It is a language of hope. A language of faith. It knows no evil, sees no evil, speaks no evil.
I speak a few languages but the one I am more passionate about is the language of Heaven. I want to learn more. I want to learn it and teach it to my world. I want to get the correct accent and the right pronunciation. I want the language of Heaven to become second nature. I want to be fluent. I want to be fluent in love. I want to speak Jesus and stop speaking fear. I want to dream in the language of Heaven, record my dreams and have faith that they will come true. The Holy Spirit knows that amazing language and He is in us to teach us how to speak Heaven. Are we listening? Are we aware? Are we open to it? “Heaven language 101” is found in the Word of God. In His Word we find the foundations. God has spelled out the alphabet of Heaven in His Word. Let’s be diligent students and study the Word. Then the Spirit of Jesus will coach us and train us in the acquisition of His language. Yearn to speak the language of Heaven. Keep speaking love, keep speaking peace, keep speaking joy, keep speaking Jesus and you will become fluent in no time. Just keep at it!
