A few days ago, when I was in prayer and meditative mode, I heard deep down inside “Let God be the reason. Let God be the reason for everything and in everything.” It hit me like thunder. It resonated with me so much that I had to write it down in my journal a few times. It left a strong impression on me that lasted all day. Let God be the reason all day. I sometimes find reasons to be happy that are not God-based. This message made me think and it made me look at my day in a different light. If we rely on things that are ephemeral and flighty, we will get ephemeral and flighty results. If our happiness is based on things that will disappear easily, our happiness will disappear easily. If we rely on people to give us what we need out of life, we will be disappointed at some point. I am not saying that we should turn people away and refuse to be happy with them but our joy should be centered in God. We should let Him be the reason why we are happy. He should be the reason why we get up in the morning. He should be the reason why we are looking forward to the next day.
If we let God be the reason why we make it, we will get answers. Instead of looking for answers outside of God, we should find out reason in God. Why are you going to succeed in life? Let God be the reason. Why are you going to be blessed today and tomorrow? Let God be the reason. Why are you still here today? Let God be the reason. Why is peace following you? Let God be the reason. It’s not because you are special or you are unique. It’s because of God that you make it all the time. When I started thinking along those lines, it showed me the importance of acknowledging God in everything. I am where I am today because of God. I will get to my destination because of God. I am blessed despite my problems because of God.
If you are wondering today how and why you will make it, let God be the reason. He knows the how and the why. He has it all taken care of. When the enemy pounds on your head with dilemmas and questions that keep you up at night, tell him that you have a good reason why it’s all going to work out for the best. Tell him that Jesus is the reason. Tell him that Jesus is loved incarnated and love is the reason why you are blessed and you will make it. Don’t let the negative chatter get you down by giving you reasons why you should doubt and you should stop pushing forward. Jesus is the reason that defies reason. He is above logic and He doesn’t make sense to the world but He is the reason why your world is the way it is. It might not be perfect but He makes it perfect. You are tainted by sin just like anyone else but Jesus is the reason why you are forgiven. Keep making Him the reason why you get up every day and He will give you reasons to enjoy the day every day!
