God will give you peace again

Chaos is one of those things that everyone experiences at one point or another. We all get a taste of it and we are way too familiar with its aftertaste that lasts for a long time. You might be still feeling the bitter taste of your last chaotic situation. It might still be haunting you and even keeping you awake at night. Chaos is a sleep depriver, a nightmare inducer and a peace destroyer. I went through a bit of a chaotic period recently. It shook me to the core but it didn’t diminish my faith and it didn’t have time to play tug of war with my peace for too long. I have the One who reverses chaos and who reduces it to a nonexistent condition in no time. The Lord pulls me out of chaos and He tears it down with ease. It doesn’t matter how big the chaos, our God will always be bigger. Let me write this again; it does not matter how big the chaos in your life is, your God, the Lord Jesus Christ, will always be bigger. He is the chaos destroyer, the peace inducer and the joy enhancer. God will disturb the chaos in your life and demolish it. Today you have the Lord on your side and chaos is no match to the Lord. If you are not in peace, if you can’t sleep at night, be reminded that the Peacemaker is in control. He has the situation under control. He has this chaos under control. He has you in the palm of His hand and chaos doesn’t belong there. Don’t be misguided by fear. Chaos is not here to stay. Peace is on the way!

Sometimes I think that chaos is an important reminder in my life. It is not there to remind me how bad life can be. It is there to remind me how great my Lord is. If I didn’t go through chaotic phases, I wouldn’t know how big my faith was and how amazing God’s intervention in my life is. It’s easy to be complacent and to get used to how good we have it. We need to be reminded that we have it better than good with God. He brings us from bad to good and from good to better and from better to best. Chaos has bad intentions but the Lord always has the best intentions. He intends to bless us and love us and He does. Now, chaos tries to get in the way and falsify God’s intentions by making us believe that God doesn’t want us to lead good peaceful lives. The Lord’s plan is clear. It is to prosper us and bless us in all our ways. No chaos is included in that plan but when chaos inserts itself into our lives, we shouldn’t panic. When we hear “Don’t panic” in the middle of chaos it is hard to heed those encouraging words. However, those words are there for a reason. They are meant to vocalize the Lord’s power over chaos. “Don’t panic” denotes that God is with us and He will take care of everything. Let me tell you today not to panic because God will take care of it all. God will get in the way of chaos. Help is on the way!

Getting back to a place of peace wasn’t all that easy last time chaos put its claws around my head. It attempted to seize my mind and occupy my thoughts with negativity. God came to the rescue as soon as I spoke to Him about my circumstances. It was as if an alarm were rung when I started praying. God saw the alarm and responded right away. How did He do it? He brought peace back into the picture. All I had to say was “Lord, I need You. I can’t do this without You but I know with You NOTHING is impossible.” Saying those words boosted my faith and gave me a nice spiritual push forward. I was able to go on with my day in peace. I was able to stay in the moment. You see, chaos wants us to be and to think outside of the present. It wants to disturb the moment and derail the order of things. It wants to detach you from peace and it will fight hard until it succeeds. Don’t give chaos a chance to settle in your heart. Kick it out with the Lord’s peace. He will do it for you like He did it for me and you will see that it is supernatural. His peace truly surpasses all understanding. God will bring you back to peace. Don’t give chaos a chance to paralyze you. God will assist you. Peace is coming back!
