When I compare my life before Christ and my life today, I can only think about how I was living in the dark and how I am in the sun now. The sun that is shining every day is Jesus. His light and His love keep my life in a state of hope and resilience. There is hope because He is the king of hope and even when I start to worry or I get sad, His hope gets me out of the funk. It’s His hope in me that is resilient. When I lean into it I realize that it won’t let go. God’s hope is relentless because it is grounded in the truth. When you hold the truth you know that you are doing the right thing and you know that you are right. God’s hope knows what the right thing is and it won’t go down to a lower level of compromise. Hope doesn’t bow down to fear and despair. Hope is strong and it stands firm. Where would I be without God’s hope today? After many years spent in this new life with Christ I can declare that God’s hope is my strength and it always wins when I give into it. Today I want to encourage you to give into God’s hope. His hope is in you. You can dive into it and swim in a sea of faith or you can dive into an ocean of stress, ignore hope and swim among the sharks of worry and distress.
Hope can be this amazing structure that can’t be shaken when it is built on a strong foundation. I have had hope in the wrong places. I have visited places that didn’t deliver hope. Places where hope was at the door but once I got in I discovered that I had been greeted by false hope and I ended up spending time in a place where mental turmoil was a daily occurrence. Hope in God doesn’t deceive and it doesn’t let you down. Hope in God is set on a rock that is stronger than anything. The Rock of salvation, the Lord Jesus is the Rock that makes hope invincible. Think about it. What does having hope in Someone who conquered death look like? It looks like the best thing you can have. That hope is safe and secure. The One who defeated the enemy can help you through anything. He didn’t just win against the opposition for a short period of time. What Jesus did is permanent and it can’t be reversed. When your hope is in Him, your hope is in the most powerful One. Your hope is in the love that beat death. Your hope is in a love so powerful that no one can know it all or understand it all. You have the blessed assurance that everything is going to be more than fine.
You can have the hope that after all you have been through, the Lord is going to restore you. Though times come and go but the hope of the Lord never leaves. It doesn’t matter how bad things are, God is still the same and His hope reigns supreme. The Lord promised to bless you, to help you and to protect you. He is faithful. Your hope in Him is never in vain. I don’t know what you are facing today but know that God’s hope is still around. Don’t give up. Things might be very hard right now but the Lord will come through. Keep His hope alive by refusing to give in to the enemy and his discouraging agents. It is not over. It is not hopeless. God is going to give you a solution. Listen to the voice of hope that might be buried underneath the pain now. Let it come out and pay attention to it. The voice of hope is the voice of triumph. You will make it and you will come out of this. God’s hope is connecting you to your breakthrough. God’s hope is your strength. It will help you through anything. Thank God for the hope He has put in your heart. Let it flourish. Water it with gratitude and cultivate it in the garden of faith. Keep your hopes up in Jesus’ name!
