When we stay in faith and we persevere despite what life throws at us, we are not doing it in vain. We are never pursuing God in vain. We are never seeking God in vain. We are always on the right track as long as we are trying and we are open to the Lord. Faith is always worth it. Faith is always our best bet. Faith is always the best path. Why should we stay in faith and keep going? First of all it is God’s will for us and staying in faith produces more faith. If you stay in faith and you keep pushing, you will get stronger. When I work out at the gym, I see some nice results when I keep at it even when it is hard. I have had to push myself. I have had to look beyond the pain and beyond what looked like limitations. I have had to believe that I would get more toned and I would get more muscles. If I looked at myself in the mirror and focused on what hasn’t changed, I wouldn’t be walking in faith. Faith doesn’t look at how things are and accepts them for what they are. Faith believes beyond appearances and beyond circumstances. Faith has its own set of eyes. The eyes of faith see into the heart of God and see blessings and hope everywhere. It is worth staying in faith because when we get stronger, we can face anything with more ease. Today I want to encourage you to stay hopeful and to hang on to faith. Keep walking in love. Keep tapping into joy. Keep embracing peace. Keep speaking over your life with hope. Keep seeking the Lord’s faith. Keep going and you will get stronger. You will get stronger and you will become a stronghold of faith.
“He gives power to the weak and strength to the powerless.”* God gives power to His people. When you stay in faith, you stay in the pool of those who can get power from the Lord. You stay confident in the One who can give you what you need to make it. You can be weak and powerless but your faith opens the door to strong and powerful. Your faith gives you access to the strength of the Lord so expect that you will become strong. Stay in faith knowing that strength is coming and you are building muscles of hope in the name of the Lord. Your faith is extremely important and extremely powerful when you maintain it and you stick with it. You are not believing in the power of a genie. God is a tower of strength that will supply a power bigger than anything that can come your way. Let your faith talk about the power of the Lord. When you praise God, talk about His strength and emphasize His ability to do the impossible. Lift Him up and exalt Him for being God. Being God means being the most amazing One. He is the most amazing One and you can rest assured that He will give you strength. Your faith muscles are growing every time you profess that the Lord will make you stronger.
“And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will Himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast.” (1 Peter 5:10). Don’t look at how weak your faith has been. Don’t look back at moments when you collapsed and crumbled. God is going to restore you and He is going to build you up. Stay in faith and you will see that come to pass. There is no way you can’t get stronger in the Lord when you hold on to Him. This is what you should do. Every time something bad happens, declare that the Lord your God will get you through it and declare that you have nothing to worry about and nothing to fear. Speak about the Lord’s restoration power. Speak about how every bad situation contributes to your muscle gain. You are training to become stronger in your faith and the bad things that take place in your life are excuses to do more spiritual push ups and to increase the weight of dumb bells of life. Those dumb bells will seem heavy at first but you will discover that with persistent faith they will become lighter and lighter. Your resilient faith will help you carry that weight.
“But the Lord is faithful, and He will strengthen you and protect you from the evil one.” (2 Thessalonians 3:3). God is faithful. He always does His part. His part is to strengthen you. It will happen. It is happening as you are staying in faith. Every brick of faith you are putting on top of another brick is a step closer to you becoming a powerhouse of hope. You are going to get stronger. Don’t get tired of loving others. Don’t get tired of praying. Don’t get tired of praising. Don’t get tired of being grateful. The Lord sees you and He will bless you. Everything good and noble that you are doing is not done in vain. One day you will realize that your faith is stronger. Until then, keep going. Keep hoping and believing. May God bless you and protect you and remember that He will always love you!
