Your revival

Do you remember what it was like when you got saved? It could have been recently, years ago or decades ago. That initial impression will last you a lifetime. Meeting Jesus was the best encounter of your life. There was a flame in your heart, a new beginning, the start of a new life. This all came with hope and a lot of excitement. What happened was a revival. Jesus revived your life. Besides, Jesus gave you something you never had before. Jesus shook your life and put it back into place, into His place of peace and rest. Then life got in the way and you might have lost sight of that burning flame of salvation. Trials and tribulations are very good at blinding our spiritual sight and showing us a negative picture. The Lord holds the bigger picture and there is triumph all over that picture. It is a portrait of His love for you. He loves you so much that He created a great life for you, a life with Jesus. That life started when you accepted Him into your heart and it is still going on now. You have to remember that your life in Christ is never put on pause and it has no expiration date. That new life that started in you is your revival. You have been revived but you need to rekindle that flame from time to time. We all go through times when we are depleted and the flame is hard to ignite again. Get your revival going again. Rediscover Jesus. Get that passion back. Get that zeal back. Get that peace back. Get that excitement back. Revive the life in Jesus in you!

Doing life alone is not easy. No matter how strong we think we are, we all need the Lord. We all need to tap into the amazing power of the Lord. There is nothing we can do without Him. It would be foolish to think that we can overtake God and lead a great life without Him. After I got saved, I went through a long period of wilderness where I strayed away from God. During that lengthy dry season, there were still strings attached to God. His mercy and grace drew me back to Him on many occasions. The Lord saved me from myself numerous times. I can’t talk enough of the goodness of God even when we are not good to Him. He is outstandingly awesome. I feel like I don’t deserve Him and yet He cares about me more than I will ever know. After that time of wandering in the desert of despair, I found the Lord again. I went through a revival of my revival. It wasn’t my doing. The Lord pulled me out of the desert. What I did do was grab His hand. I saw the opportunity for a revival of my life in Jesus and I jumped on it. Going through a revival does imply actively pursuing the Lord. I am inviting you today to get into revival mode as often as you can so that your awareness of your life in Christ is sustained.

Cause this revival to happen in your life. A revival is an improvement in the condition or in the strength of something. Improve your life in Christ. Strengthen your walk with Christ. You have to take some steps toward that rejuvenation. There is no day like today to walk toward revival. This great life in Christ deserves your attention. The best way you can reignite it is by focusing on Jesus. Go back to the basics of your faith. Go back to Jesus. Make Him the focus of your attention. Glorify Him. Don’t let anything take His place. Give Him first place. Spend a period of time when you praise Him every day. Have church in your house every day for some time. Have a revival. Your heart will catch on. Your spirit will get invigorated again. The flame of hope will be turned on again. Meditate on who Jesus is for you. Revive Him in your heart by giving Him the biggest part of your heart. There is going to be a change on the inside that will be reflected on the outside. The light of the Lord will shine again inside of you. May God bless you and protect you and remember that He will always love you.
