What is God building in your life?

Before He started His ministry on earth, Jesus was a carpenter. A carpenter is someone who repairs or makes wooden structures and objects. I love that carpenters make and repair. This concept exemplifies what the Lord does. Jesus is the carpenter of my life. He fixed my life and He made it what it is now. He gave me eternal life. That is what He does. He didn’t just do it for me. He did it for anyone who believes in Him. When He died on the cross, people thought it was the end. It was just the beginning of the structure He was building. He was making something that would last forever and that no one could undo. Jesus built eternal life. He repaired our lives and fixed them with salvation. He redeemed us of our sins and  built a bridge between the Father and us. That bridge of salvation is a structure that we can count on. It is indestructible. Jesus undid death and replaced it with His resurrection. Now, His resurrection power is the permanent structure that lives in us. If you have Jesus, His power lives in you. It is building you up and it is fixing you and making things new. God is at work in your life. If we remain in Him and His words remain in us, He will build something amazing in our lives. What is God building in your life today? He is repairing your life and making a life that is blessed by His presence.

What the Lord is building in you is a powerful structure that relies on His Son. The Lord wants to builds reliance in us. What He is building in our lives requires work on our part and faith. The Lord would never force anything into our lives. We have to agree and we have to believe. We can’t be passive and expect Him to do something good inside of us. That powerful structure of dependence on Jesus can be put together when we take a step of faith and we trust that God is at work in our lives. The process started when we accepted Jesus as our Lord and Savior and it continues every single day. Our salvation and our lives with Christ are an ongoing journey. We can help the Carpenter repair our lives by having total faith in Him and by letting Him be the part of us that He should be. We could choose to privilege the world and its ways or we can choose Jesus and let Him develop His mind in us. We can share the mind of Christ as we renew our thinking with His Word and we are in contact with His Spirit. Let’s always choose Jesus. Let’s always choose Jesus over the world. Let’s get to know Him better thanks to the Holy Spirit.

The Holy Spirit is in us and with us and that relationship can be amazing. The Lord gives us the wood we need and it is up to us to finish the work by leaning on the Spirit and adoring the Lord. Adoration and worship are crucial here. We are the temple of the Holy Spirit and in His temple there should be rejoicing and celebration. We are a place of worship that should be active all the time. It is sad when we don’t answer the call and we deprive our temple of praising the Lord. When we do that, we are like a church where the lights are never turned on, Jesus is forgotten and there is no fruit and no progress. God can build a tree of hope inside of us when we keep our hopes in Jesus and we actively engage with Him. The structure of peace and joy the Lord desires for us to have is attainable. It can be made when we spend time in the Word of God, we pray every day, we walk in love, we stay in faith and we exalt the Lord. God is building a wonderful structure of faith, love and hope in you, friend. Give Him permission to place the beam of joy, the joist of love and the structure of faith inside of you. As you rely on God, He will fix what needs to be fixed in your life and He will create a new you. God can build anything and He built you for a time like this so stay in faith and keep on going. May God bless you and protect you and remember that He will always love you!

10 nuggets of wisdom for your Saturday (Part 189)

Let God speak to your heart privately. Set aside time to listen to Him. Give Him time and savor your moments with Him.

“Trust Me, I know what I’m doing” is what the Lord is telling you today. Listen to His voice. Give Him a chance to show you what He can do. Give yourself a chance to get out of your misery as you lean on God in the middle of your troubles.

God’s love in your life is accounted for. There is an unlimited provision of His love for you. It is a done deal. You don’t have to do anything to earn it. Embrace God’s love. Let it bless you and protect you.

Faith is like a net you cast in an ocean of blessings. You don’t always know what you are going to get but you know you will get something and it will be very good in Jesus’ name!

God welcomes you

I remember the time when I was new to Jesus. I didn’t know Him well. I was excited about Him because He sounded so nice and so loving. I needed love. I know we all need love and the love He has to give is like no other. What intrigued me about Him was not only His eternal love but His integrity and His unwavering faithfulness. To me He was this faithful Savior whose love was deeper than the ocean and taller than Mount Everest. There was a giant aspect to Him. Every time I saw something tall or deep, I said to myself that Jesus was taller or His love was deeper. I liked learning about Him but I decided to know Him for myself. I set on a journey to find the real Jesus and to get as close to Him as possible. I didn’t want Him to be a person in a book. His Book was beyond anything I had read but I also understood that there was a real Person from the Book living outside the divine pages. I discovered that He was extremely approachable. He is closer than we think and He watches over us. The faithful loving Savior I was getting to know was very interested in having a relationship with me and that changed my perspective.

The religious Jesus who had been introduced to me slowly faded away as I got closer to the Jesus who loves and who reigns with majesty. I didn’t discard the Word of God. I read it every day but I made sure I talked to Jesus. I made sure I kept the lines of communication open and I gave Him my time. I knocked on His door and asked Him if I could come in. How did I do that? I prayed. It’s as simple as that. I said a genuine prayer. I asked Him to show me the real Him. I prayed for His Spirit to enter my life in a big way. I was honest and I was broken. I needed fixing and He took care of that. God is always so good and so caring. Every time we turn to Him with a sincere heart, He intervenes and He replies. I knocked a few times before I received a response. I think my head got in the way of His reply. He had spoken to me but I was too closed off to hear Him. What I found out is that not only does He love to reply to our prayers but He loves to give us more than we ask.

I asked for a seat at the table of the King so to speak. I asked for a corner seat so I wouldn’t be in the way and so that more important people could be seen. Everyone is important to the Lord. There are no front seats at His table. There is no VIP section and there is no protocol. We all have the same seats. We all have the same access to the King. He didn’t give me a small seat on the side like I thought He would. He sat me front and center where everyone else sits and He welcomed me with open arms. Jesus doesn’t reject anyone. I have learned that through the years. He has taught me that everyone who has walked the earth and who will walk the earth is welcome. He loves every single one of us. The King of Kings adores you and me. Once we get ahold of that truth, we can sit at His table and enjoy the feast before our eyes.

Today I want to reiterate that Jesus welcomes you all the time. He wants to spend time with you and He desires for you to get to know Him better. He wants to be closer than a brother. He wants you to understand that you are in His heart and He would do anything for you. He has a wonderful seat for you at His table and there are amazing dishes waiting for you. In His presence, you will find the water of peace, manna from Heaven, the fruit of the Spirit, and food for your soul such as peace and joy. There is plenty for you to enjoy. His lavish table is meant to show you how much He cares about you. Sit with Him every day. Spend time with His Spirit. Become intimate with the Lord. Adore the Father. Rejoice over the Son. You can get to know God more and you can have the confidence that He will always welcome you. May God bless you and protect you and remember that He will always love you!

God is greater

When I overthink and I spend time focusing on the negative, bad things seem so huge. I lose sight of God but fortunately the Holy Spirit brings me back to His reality and He reminds me that greater is the Lord that is in me. Greater is the Lord that is in me than the devil that is in this world.*That is what the Bible says. That is what the Lord Himself declares. Next time your mind blows the devil out of proportion, take control of your mind but reminding yourself that greater is the Lord in you. Take an inventory of everything that is bad in your life and push God’s truth against that list. Say “Greater is the Lord that is in me than the bills that are piling up in front fo me.” You can also say “Greater is the Lord that is in me than the anxiety that is fighting against me.” Anything that is bad and evil is not greater than Jesus. Jesus died on the cross and conquered death. The enemy, the devil is under the umbrella of death. He was defeated. Jesus in you is greater! You have nothing to worry about. The enemy might be blowing fear into your heart but the One who is sitting in your heart is more powerful. Give the Lord a chance to dominate your heart, your feelings and your emotions. You can do that by proclaiming that He is bigger and greater that anything that is against you.

So many strongholds are formed in our minds when we keep rehearsing bad scenarios and when we dwell on our problems. Nothing can get resolved when we visit our problems over and over again. They can appear bigger and they can foster other problems that did not exist in the first place. When we are aware of how powerful the Lord and we get ahold of that truth, we are on the right path. Now the goal is to use that truth and not let it sit in us. It has to be expressed and it has to be sustained. Greater is the Lord that is in us but the enemy is relentless and he knows that if he can weaken our minds and glorify himself in our heads, he has won the battle. He has not won. Jesus won. As bad as things may seem, they can be reversed and they can be changed by our Lord almighty. There is a lot of peace in the Lord and His peace can transform all situations. When things are not going well and my head feels like it’s going to explode, I call on the peace of the Lord. I understand the importance of calming the storm within so I can better deal with the problems that I am facing. Problems have a way of paralyzing our thinking and our bodies but when God’s peace enters the scene, hope is set in motion again. God’s peace is greater than the confusion and the chaos of the enemy. Ask for peace. You will get stronger and your faith in God being greater will increase.

Are we willing to believe God or are we going to buy into the enemy’s lies? His lies like I implied earlier, magnify him and they can be intimidating. God is the One who intimidates the devil. The devil doesn’t want you and me to discover that truth. Remember that Jesus destroyed the plans of the enemy on the cross. It is a done deal and whoever believes it will reap the benefits. There is a harvest of blessings that come from trusting that greater is the Lord in you than the enemy that is in the world. Go for the biggest harvest you can get. Go for healing. Go for debt cancellation. Go for peace. Go for joy. Go for blind faith. Go for the impossible. Greater is the Lord that is in you and the enemy can’t stop you because you are filled with the love that changes the world. Friday night might be here now and you can’t see how you will make it to Sunday but you have the One who bridges the gap between life and death so your Sunday is coming. Rejoice. Jesus is greater than any problems you might face. Stay encouraged and keep standing in faith. May God bless you and protect you and remember that He will always love you!

Every step you take

Every step I take I have to look on my left and on my right and I wonder if I am taking the right step. I double check and make sure that I am on the right track. How do I do that? I ask God. I ask Him for help, for guidance and for assistance. I know that every step I take God is walking with me. One thing I am learning is to walk at God’s pace and not to get ahead of myself. I have an idea of what I should do and where I should go but if that idea is mine and it hasn’t been screened by the Lord, I can get lost. When God says He is with us, He is telling us that He is there to show us the way and not just to keep us company. I think sometimes we do things without thinking and we believe that it is ok because God is with us. God is with us not to confirm what we believe is right but to affirm Himself so we can follow in His footsteps. God is here to lead the way and to take us through the path of His righteousness. We are nothing without Him. We might think that we can get away with things without Him but we are highly mistaken when we decide to go it alone.

Today I want to remind you that God is with you to help you and to be a model for you. He is our role model. He is our guide. He is our reference. He is our helper. He is not sitting on the sideline watching us do whatever we want. He is teaching us how to do what He wants for our lives because it is the best thing for our lives. Remember that there will always be help and advice when you lean on the Lord. Lean on Him before you take a step. Lean on Him when you are at a crossroad. Don’t cross until He gives you the green light. That light might take a while to turn from red to green but it’s because God desires for you to be safe. He will never send you on the road of life if there is danger on the way. I have found myself in dire straits many times because I was counting on my own understanding and I was doing my own thing. I have taken steps that have led me to deserted places where aridity was prevalent. Nothing good came out of those experiences in the wilderness. I turned left when God was telling me to turn right. I ignored Him and I missed His directions. Friend, stick with God and go to Him first before you do anything.

God can lead your steps. God can show you the right way. The closer you are to Him, the clearer you will hear His directions. I have had a tendency to ask friends and family for advice. I think a lot of us do. It’s not a bad idea. However, I do believe that turning to God first will help us find the help we need. He can put the right people on our path. He can reveal the way to go. He can make our path clear. He can light the way. He can dictate what step to take and hold our hand while we walk with Him. We are meant to walk with God. God is not meant to walk with us and follow our steps. He is the leader. He is the director. He will direct our steps in ways we can’t do on our own. God knows where our feet should land and what places we should avoid. It is my prayer that you take every step with God and that you recognize that your journey is not a lonely adventure. You are with the Lord of lords and the King of kings and every step you take is a step toward freedom and success when you lean on the Lord. May God bless you and protect you and remember that He will always love you!

Reassurance

How reassuring it is that God is always in control even when we don’t know what to do! He knows what to do all the time and He can do it the impossible all the time. We can have the blessed assurance that in our worst times God can help us and He can bless us. If I didn’t have the Lord, I don’t know where I would be. I would be living a life where panic were constant and where confusion were dominant. God reassures us. He does it in His Word. If you need to be comforted today. If you need reassurance, open the Word of God. Our Bibles gather dusts sometimes. We think that memorized scriptures are enough. They help and they can save lives but the Lord has something to say to you and me today. We can hear Him by opening His Word and letting the conversation begin. We should let Him guide us in His Word and show us where we should go. I have found my way through a path of comfort and reassurance many times when I have yielded to the Spirit of God.

How do we yield to the Spirit for reassurance? We have to remember that the Word of God was inspired by His Spirit. The Holy Spirit will never contradict His Word. Now, that doesn’t mean that our understanding of the Word can’t contradict the Spirit of God. Sometimes we believe that we know how to interpret the Word and if anything goes against our interpretation, we say that it goes against God. We need wisdom and revelation from God to understand His Word and we shouldn’t merely rely on our understanding. That is how wars were started and discrimination ruled nations. God knows His Word more than anyone else so we should ask Him to open our spiritual eyes to the truth of His Word so we are not misled. One of the powerful truths of the Word is that God is a comforter and He will always encourage us and reassure us.

I love reading the Psalms. David and the other authors of the Psalms are very good at describing God as our refuge and our fortress. It is so reassuring and it is very uplifting. I often turn to the Psalms for reassurance. I find peace in that book and I sense God’s protection when I read it. God is our shield and He is our tower of protection. This means that He protects us against the attacks of the enemy and He can also protect us from ourselves when are minds are going wild and doubt and fear dominate us. God can knock down fear with a few words. He can remove doubt with a few encouraging words. His Word is filled with encouragement that can ban the lies of the enemy from entering our hearts and from creating havoc. The power of the Word of God is greater than we imagine and it is that power that will give us the reassurance we need to face the day. Dive into the Word every day and you will have spiritual immunization to face the darts of the enemy and to stay strong spiritually and emotionally.

I find a lot of comfort and reassurance when I pray because the Holy Spirit reminds me of God’s goodness. I get quiet during prayer time so I can hear the love of God speak and so His peace can lift up my spirits. If the Lord were to sit down with you today, He will shower you with His love through His words. He will reassure you and tell you that you have nothing to worry about and nothing to fear. He would describe what He is doing in your life that you can’t see. He would talk about the angels that He has placed around you. He would encourage you to stand the course and trust that He can do all things. He would tell you that the best is yet to come and the present is where He wants you to be now. He would talk about how His love will always make a way for us and how He is holding you in the palm of His hand. He would sing over you and declare victory over your life because He died for your life. God is still in control and His reassurance is still available today. Open your Bible. Pray to God. Trust His protective hands and enjoy your life with Him. You have nothing to worry about! May God bless you and protect you and remember that He will always love you!

Sit down with God

I recently started a new job that I am enjoying so far. I can see that there is potential for me to be absolutely in love with this job and I thank God for it. With this new job comes a salary reduction. The other day my mind was very active and thoughts of how my new salary might affect my lifestyle a little bit popped into my head. I was tired so my head went places it shouldn’t go especially because I have a Savior who is more than enough. I was thinking about how my job is my source of income and I needed to supplement my revenue. However, when I got into prayer, the Lord beautifully told me to change my thinking and to remember that He is my source of income. He is my source for everything and when I have that mentality, peace settles in my mind and I have a much more positive outlook. It is so true. The Lord is my source and He supplies my needs according to His riches in glory. At the end of the prayer, the Holy Spirit gave me a very interesting invitation. He said deep down inside, “Sit down with the Lord. Take a seat and be still with Him.”

I loved that invitation so much! The Lord is still and calm all the time. He is composed and in control. He is never hyperactive and He never panics. He is the perfect role model when it comes to calmness and serenity. God knows everything that is going on everywhere and yet He never gets upset and He never loses His cool. He is the King of patience and the King of hope. His invitation the other day was a gentle request to take the time to be with Him and to be like Him. We get so frantic about some life events that we forget that God goes about things in a totally calm way. I sat down with God. I prolonged my prayer and just sat there. I took the time to know that He is God. I took the time to be silent and to contemplate the stillness and the beauty of the Lord. I sat down and listened. I sat down and relaxed my overactive mind. I sat down and enjoyed the company of the Lord. I sat down and smiled. I sat down and slowed down. I sat down and everything seemed to be alright. I sat down and gave God a chance to work in me and to do a wonderful work I couldn’t do on my own. Sit down with God, friend. Slow down. Embrace the moment with Him and just be. No need to move around in a frenzy. Take the time to be with the Father. Take the time to be a child of the Father. Take the time to receive love from the Father. Sit down with Him!

As I sat there, a lot of great memories flooded my mind. The Lord took me down memory lane and reminded me of His goodness in my life. He pointed out the times when He had intervened in my life and how He has always provided. He has always been there. He was there before I was aware of His existence. He was there when I was nowhere to be found and I was millions of miles away from Him living a life of rebellion. He was there when I was happy and when I was down. That great moment when I was sitting down and being still with Him was a reminder that He has provided more than I could imagine. He has been by my side and He has taken care of me. God has sat down with me to calm me down when I didn’t know what to do. God has held me in His arms when I didn’t know how to feel better. God has carried me in His arms when life was too dangerous for me to navigate on my own. God has sat down next to me and watched me fall asleep when loneliness was getting intense. He sits with all of us. He invites all of us to sit down with Him and appreciate His kindness and His gentleness. Friend, sit down with God today. Take a break from your hectic day. Sit down and seek His face. Sit down and thank Him for being there for you. Sit down and know that He is always God and He will always supply your needs. Sit down with God and

He will whisper words of comfort and words of encouragement to your heart. Enjoy moments of peace with God every day. May God bless you and protect you and remember that He will always love you.

God’s love can do anything

Saying that God can do anything is an understatement. When I think about how He entangled my life and saved me from the snares of evil, I can only declare that God can do all things. My life is not the same because of Jesus. He stepped in and cleaned the house. He replaced my old dysfunctional inner abode with His safe and sane dwelling place. He took what was hurting me and replaced me with the One who always helps me, His Spirit. God can do anything and He has no limitations. We need to believe it. We need to stretch our faith and trust that God is the God of the impossible. He has been depicted as a small god for so long. Some influencers and celebrities have such a prominent status that they appear to be bigger than God. It sounds crazy but when you look at how people adore some individuals, you realize that man has taken the place of God in many circles. Even in the church I have seen churchgoers who adore their pastor and who put him or her on a pedestal. There is a celebrity culture in the world that is prevalent but if oftens leaves out the One who is the real King of kings. If we worship men more than we worship God, we are stripped of the amazing experience of knowing the Lord and all His mercy and love. God can do more than any men you will ever meet and yet people would rather follow influential men and neglect God. Today I want to remind you that your reverence for God is not in vain. You are following the One who can change your life and the world for the better and His love is the force that makes it happen. God will do the impossible for you. Keep following Him. His love is after you.

The miracles of the Bible seem like events that are not for today. The Lord can’t perform miracles where people don’t believe in Him. Faith is a prerequisite for miracles although God’s mercy and grace can cause miracles to happen. His miracles are real and they are still relevant today. My point is that we ought to go back to the message of the Gospel. It is the love of God that created the biggest miracle of all when Jesus came back from the dead. That message still stands and it is where we should start. We don’t need to look at men to get our miracles. It often feels like people get disappointed in God and they move on to something else or to someone else. They find someone that satisfies their needs or their lacks. They don’t know that they need a spiritual awakening and that spiritual death is real. I used to listen to a lot of different kinds of songs and music was almost a religious experience to me. It was my salvation when things were bad in my life. A song, a tune could cheer me up but there was no substance and no power behind them. Their temporary relief didn’t cut it. Music didn’t change my life. Music didn’t save me. Music didn’t give me peace that surpassed all understanding. Music didn’t heal. It was a band-aid that served its purpose for some time. It is when I encountered Jesus that I found what I had been looking for my whole life.

I wasn’t a miracle chaser but miracles chased me when Jesus became my Savior. I have to say that I had given up on so much even when I became born again but the Lord’s love was relentless and it never gave up on me. God can do anything and He showed me how wonderfully He can do anything. He deleted the documents that described my life in a dark light. I replaced the folder of sorrow and grief with files of hope and joy. He rewrote my history and locked in my new life. When I started adoring Him, I discovered that He was the only One I should idolize. Why? Because His love was genuine and His attention to me was unparalleled. I had never met such powerful love and I had never been treated so well. He gave me hope and He boosted my faith in the impossible. God can do all things because His love for us is greater than anything and anyone in this world. His love is not restricted and since it created the universe, it can create anything. Think about how God can do anything and meditate on how His love can do anything.Today I want to reiterate the truth that yes God can still do anything and He will do it for you. Stay encouraged! May God bless you and protect you and remember that He will always love you!

God sings over you

I have mentioned before how I sometimes hear songs in my head. Songs that don’t exist. Songs that warm my heart because they come with so much joy and peace. They are songs dedicated to Jesus and sometimes they are just melodies that keep me calm. Melodies that have no lyrics but I know they are about Jesus. The other day I was sitting in my kitchen getting ready to have some one on one time with the Lord when I heard a very beautiful melody. It was just so incredible. I wish I could have recorded it. When I started praying, the Lord told me that He sings over us and that melody was an example of that. He loves each and every one of us and He sings over us and about us. His songs are extremely beautiful. They are a reflection of what He thinks about us. To Him we are the most important person in the world. Each and every one of us matters to Him greatly and He looks at us with oceans of love.

We can’t know the depths of these oceans because if we did, we would drown in His love. At times I wish I could be carried away by God’s love and just float on His mercy and grace. We don’t have to go far to find His love. We don’t have to be special to experience His love. We just have to believe that when He says He loves us, He means it. God is a God of His word and He is faithful. Nothing we can ever do can separate us from His love. He will always sing over us and He will always rejoice over us. Now, if you know you did something wrong or if you feel guilty about a sin in your life, know that God will forgive you. Don’t let guilt and shame keep you away from God. Repent and let go of what is distancing you from God. Repent and trust that God has forgiven you. Repent and ask for help so that sin doesn’t keep causing you to fall and stumble. God loves you and that’s all there is to it!

Think about the best songs and the best melodies you have ever heard. Combine them and multiply them by a thousand and you still won’t be able to duplicate the joyful songs that the Lord sings over you. I think that if we had more faith in how much God loves us, we would have a stronger walk with Him and we would be able to face life more easily. There is no power greater than God’s love. The most sophisticated weapons are not stronger than God’s love. The most desperate situations are not bigger than God’s love. The most debilitating circumstances are not stronger than God’s love. God’s song about you is an expression of a love that has no end and that can’t fail. Learn to embrace God’s love for you. Accept the work that Jesus did on the cross. Accept the resurrection power of the Lord. That power lives in you and it has been placed in you by God’s love. His song about you echoes what He did for you and it depicts the greatest sacrifice that has ever taken place. That sacrifice was because of you. Jesus had you in mind. Jesus did it all for you. Thank Him for His outstanding love. Thank Him for not ever changing His love for you. Thank Him for the songs He sings about you. Thank Him for rejoicing over you.

If you could hear the lyrics of the songs the Lord sings about you, you would be amazed. You would be in awe. You would be in tears. The extreme beauty of His love for you would pierce you and enter the depth of your being. It would be such a wonderful experience that you would never be able to see yourself in a dark light. You are a ray of sunshine according to the Lord. Think about it! He rejoices over you! The Lord Almighty is excited about you. He gets to spend every day with you and your company makes Him joyful. Sing back to Him. Sing over Him. Rejoice over Him. Show Him that you love Him and you appreciate Him. Use the best words your heart can come up with and direct them to the Lord. Let Him hear how delighted you are to be in His presence. Be confident that His love is permanent and keep that truth in the middle of your heart. The Lord is singing about you as we speak. Smile and enjoy His singing. God so loved you that He gave His only Son for you. May God bless you and protect you and remember that He will always love you!

Give God the time of day

This message may sound like something I have written before. I believe it is important to reinforce its content and talk about saving time for God every day. “Saving time” makes it sound like we are giving God our leftovers and we are prioritizing other things. I know God should come first and I am sure you are on the same page but doesn’t it sometimes feel like you are actually saving time for God meaning that you don’t let Him come first? When I am very busy, I do my best to make God fit into my schedule. I don’t like that process. It cheapens my relationship with God. He should be the first One on my priority list and my schedule should be built around Him. I have changed my schedule recently to be able to give God more of my time. I start the day with God like I have been doing for many years. The difference is that I go to bed earlier so that the first few hours in the morning with God are more productive. Going to bed late and then getting up early to be with God is better than nothing but it is hard to spend quality time with God when we didn’t have a quality night of sleep. We should be awake and alert for God. When we are, we are more receptive to Him and we can give more of ourselves to God. Giving God the time of day is giving Him of ourselves. It goes beyond giving Him some of our time. When we are spending time with Him, we become more like Him and that is when we can touch the world with His love and with His amazing traits. We spend time with God because we love Him and we want to be more like Him. We don’t do it to check boxes and go on with our day. Our precious time with the Lord is a time of rebuilding, restoring and learning. What we gain from those beautiful moments should be used to serve others. Give God the time of day and He will impact your day in a powerful way.

God’s impact on my life has been life changing and it motivates me to talk about Him and to spread the Gospel the best way I can. I love that when I am with God in a private setting, He shares His heart and pours blessings in the form of wisdom and revelation. One of the biggest revelations I receive is that He loves me. I love hearing His love and sensing His comforting presence. God wants us to spend time with Him because He knows that His love can heal us, bless us and transform us. We can’t spend time with God and not receive something positive from Him. The key is to make the time all the time. The key is to make Him the priority and to understand that time with Him is always time well-spent. We are never wasting time and we are never doing the wrong thing. I remember I used to feel that if I spent time with God I was missing out. I was missing out on the world and I was an outsider. Now, I would rather be an outsider with God than being part of an elite that doesn’t know anything about God. Every time I pray, every time I praise, I am doing God’s will and I love doing His will. The time I spend with God lifts me up and encourages me. God gives us His time all the time so we should truly give Him the time of day and let Him know that He can use us in whichever way He likes.

Giving time to God is also translated by the moments we serve as a vessel of His love. Time with God is not just time in prayer but it is also every moment we give Him permission to use us and we submit to Him. We ought be not only be servants of the living God but we should also serve others. Every time we help someone, we give time to God. Every time we walk in love, we give time to God. Every time we encourage or motivate someone, we give time to God. Everything that is pure and noble is of God. Every action that is pure and noble is an action backed up by God. God can back us up in all we do when all we do is for Him and through Him. During my morning time with God, I plan my day and at times He tells me to bless so and so or to help so and so. God will always point us in His direction by telling us to do something He would do. We can be great imitators of the Lord when we give Him the time of day. My prayer for you is that God is the priority in your schedule and you see the impact of time spent with Him when you walk in love and you yield to His Spirit. May God bless you and protect you and remember that He will always love you!
