10 nuggets of wisdom for your Saturday (Part 146)

Don’t worry about anything but trust God in everything. Give God your worries about anything. Have faith in God for everything.

If you’ve been told that you belong to the end of the line, know that Jesus put you first. He died for you and He wants you to see how much you mean to Him. With Him you always come first. Put Him at the head of your line every day!

Put all your eggs in one basket. Put all your eggs in the basket of the Lord. Trust Him with everything. Trust Him with your life. Trust Him with all your heart. His basket is bountiful. You will never lack anything!

Trust that everything is going to be ok. Not because of who you are but because of who the Lord is. He makes things right. He changes everything. He’s going to change your circumstances and He’s going to change you through that process.

Revelation from Heaven is in the Word of God. The Word of God and the Spirit of God make it known to us. Do not dissociate God’s Word from His Spirit. His Word is His Spirit. Listen to both. They speak in unison.

There is a healing process that starts when you accept the Lord. He heals you from your old self if you let Him. He heals your soul and gives you strength and hope. Embrace His healing arms.

God will get in the way of what the enemy put in your way. He will step over the obstacles and bring you along. He will remove the hurdles and let you jump through hoops. God gets in the way and makes a better way!

Those we don’t want to pray for deserve our prayers even more. The Holy Spirit will put them on our hearts and we ought to leave them there and lift them up in prayer.

Get to know Jesus in real time. He is present. He is here. He is not locked in a distant time in the past. He is not virtual. He is alive. He is His Word. Spend time reading Him and getting to know Him.

Do things that make your spirit soar. Do things that make your spirit happy. Pray. Praise. Worship. Be thankful. Walk in love. Embrace God’s peace. Tap into God’s joy. Be patient. Stay in love with Jesus.

Give it all to God

When I have a lot going on and I feel the burden of all the things that are happening in my life, peace seems out of reach. It is mostly because I focus on the problems more than I focus on my Savior. The burdens of life can be so heavy that we forget that Jesus carried them on the cross. He said “Cast your cares upon Me” and yet we find a way to walk around with so many cares and concerns that our backs are about to break. Our walk with God becomes a very slow walk where we can barely put one foot in front of the other. It appears that the Lord is far in front of us and we are moving at the speed of a turtle with a heavy load on its back.

Problems will always come but they can also be handled. If we try to handle them on our own, we will not succeed. We might manage to deal with some things but the bulk of the problems will still be taunting us. Casting our cares upon the Lord is always the best solution. Today I am inviting you to cast all worries, all fears and all cares upon the Lord. Don’t give in to fear and don’t let worry form a crown of concerns around your head. The more you carry the cares, the more your mind will be tormented and the less your faith will grow.

Whatever you are facing today was carried by the Lord on the cross. There isn’t a single thing that Jesus didn’t take care of on the cross. You might be facing new problems and some new adversity that you had never encountered before. The enemy knows how to reinvent himself by adding new pain and new suffering. He knows how to come up with situations that will make you want to crumble. He is vicious and he is watching. He is like a thief in the night who comes through a window when everyone is sleeping and takes all he can while our guard is down. God is watching over you and He is with you even at night. Thank Him for His protection and thank Him for caring so much. Thank Him that no more what new tricks the enemy uses, you can still give all your cares to the Lord.

Thank God that He has carried your burdens and renounce them. Every time you feel the heavy burden, go into prayer mode and get rid of them. Talk to the Lord about your problems. Talk with the Lord about your problems. Do some of the talking and then do a lot of the listening. He will reassure you, talk to you, guide you and help you. Communicate with Him as much as you can. When you are doing well and when you are having problems. Keep the line of communication open. Talk and listen. Listen and follow His lead. Follow His lead and praise Him for His directions. Praise Him and stay strong. Stay strong and keep going. Keep going and keep thanking Him. Keep thanking Him and give Him all your cares. Don’t carry what was meant to be handled by the Lord. Let go of the fears and the worry and let God be in charge of your soul and your mind. Put your mind at peace by spending time with the Father.

Give it all to the Lord. Give Him everything that is weighing you down. Anything and everything that just doesn’t feel right. Give it all to God. The pain, the headaches and the struggles. Give them all to God. Don’t keep them inside. Release them with simple words of rejection when you pray. Reject the negativity and hand it all over to the Lord. I often pray, “Lord take all my doubts, my fears and my confusion. I give it all to You.” I see myself giving them to the Lord. I see myself getting rid of all that bad stuff. I see myself putting it all in the trash and the Lord takes the trash to the dumpster for me. I don’t need to know how He does it. I just have to believe that He is taking care of it. Send your worries to the dumpster. Send your cares to the recycling center. God will recycle your concerns and turn them into moments of great joy and peace. Cast your cares upon the Lord. He will get rid of whatever is bothering you today. Trust Him! Give it all to God!

Never stop praying

When one door closes, another one opens. That’s the approach to life that the Lord has given me. I have learned to accept the closed doors and to expect new doors to open. A closed door can seem to be a slap in the face but some doors are closed because what’s beyond them is not safe. We can’t see it at the time but God is protecting us. I have prayed and prayed for certain doors to open and they have remained closed. I understand that I can’t force the issue and God is not allowing things into my life that are not His best for me. Does it mean He has not answered my prayers? He has and what appears to be a strict no is a blessed yes. A blessed yes is when God says,”Yes, child I heard you and I am blessing you.” His blessings are not always what we want but they are what we need and what is best for us. Therefore, I know that I can’t stop praying. I know that my prayers are heard and the answers are coming. Today I want to encourage you to keep on praying even when no door is opening and when some doors are closing in front of you. Don’t give up. Keep talking to God and keep listening. Don’t let the closed doors deafen your spiritual ears. Don’t let the closed doors prevent you from praising. Keep on praying. God will open the right doors and take you beyond the threshold of your expectations.

“Continue steadfastly in prayer, being watchful in it with thanksgiving.” (Colossians 4:2) This verse is part of the instructions Paul gave to the Church. He is telling us to keep praying and to be strong in prayer. This means that no matter what happens, prayer should be part of our daily lives. It’s easy to get discouraged when things go wrong. When things go wrong, prayer is one of the habits that goes out the window. If prayer leaves our spiritual house, we cannot expect doors to open. Prayer is the key to new doors. Prayer gives hope. It enlightens and it strengthens. It gives you the key to your problems and the key to peace and joy. If I didn’t spend time listening to God every day, I would be out of His dwelling place all the time. I wouldn’t know how to enter intoHis presence and how to welcome His Spirit. Prayer teaches me a lot and it encourages me to stay grounded in the Lord. It gives me an appreciation for God. Paul tells us to pray with thanksgiving and that is one part of my prayers that makes them very powerful. Thanksgiving is powerful. It is an expression of faith and it is an act of adoration. No matter how trying life is, keep on thanking the Lord when you pray. Keep at it and lift up His name. He will do the impossible for you. He will open doors that you didn’t even know existed.

Prayer itself is an open door. It is a door that leads to the Lord and that keeps us on a spiritual path. When we stop praying, we close a door that was meant to be wide open every day. Let’s not close the door to our breakthrough. We sometimes blame our circumstances or even blame God for some closed doors when we are the ones that are closing one of the most important doors. Prayer is the entryway to the kingdom. Prayer is a celebration. Our praises during prayer or in general are a knock on Heaven’s door. That knock lets us in. You don’t have to bang on the door. Just knock with praise and worship and you are in. Next time you are at a loss for words to say when you pray, praise. Let praise be the secret code that gets you in. Your prayers are giving you access to everything the Lord has available for you. Pray, ask and you shall receive. Remember that what’s behind God’s doors is what you need and not necessarily what you want. God knows what to give you and it will always be better than some of the things you think you want. Your prayers are making things happen. They can move mountains. They can keep you safe. They can change your circumstances. Keep on praying. The enemy would be more than happy to see you quit. Don’t give him that satisfaction. Resist the devil and he will flee! Never stop praying.
