10 nuggets of wisdom for your Saturday (Part 191)

Who is the giant in your life? Is it doubt? Is it worry? Let Jesus be the giant in your life. Let Him dominate all circumstances and He will take down anything that tries to be bigger than Him in your life.

Great things happen to those whose hope in the Lord. What are you expecting today? Expect peace that surpasses your understanding. Expect love that resurrected for you. Expect joy that is your strength. Expect God to bless you and carry you today!

Today your mind might be a battlefield. The battle of the mind can be intense. Overcome it with God’s Word and with the joy of the Lord. There is so much good in your life. Don’t let negative thoughts steal that away from you. You got this in Jesus’ name!💪🏻

When you wake up in the morning, the Lord is with you. When you spend the day rejoicing or dragging, suffering or healing, the Lord is with you. When you go to bed at night, the Lord is with you. All day long the Lord is with you. Don’t fear. Don’t worry. You are in great company all day long!

Don’t wait for miracles to manifest tomorrow. Manifest them today. Your faith makes a way. Your miracles are here today. Jesus paid the price so you can have a free pass and free access to breakthroughs and blessings. Stay in faith!

If the negative wind of change blows in your direction, turn away from it. Look away. Look to Jesus. He will change the course of time.

God can accomplish more in one minute than the devil can ruin in a lifetime. Keep trusting God. He will turn things around. Stay encouraged!

Don’t let the imbalance of this world topple your hopes. Don’t let the foolishness of this world rob you of wisdom. Don’t let the confusion of this world diminish your faith. Don’t let the enemy in this world make you believe that Jesus is defeated. Don’t let this world be bigger than the Lord in you!

It’s not hard for God to love you. He adores you. He loves you the way you are and He wants to bless you and help you be all you can be. You were fearfully and wonderfully made. You are exceptional in God’s eyes. Enjoy the exception that you are! Enjoy your life with the One who took time to create you. He will always love you!

Stand still and let God fight your battles. Give up control. Give God permission to take over. He will bless you more than you can bless yourself. He will win every battle and give you a victory that you couldn’t manage on your own. God can do it all. Trust Him!

God is greater

When I overthink and I spend time focusing on the negative, bad things seem so huge. I lose sight of God but fortunately the Holy Spirit brings me back to His reality and He reminds me that greater is the Lord that is in me. Greater is the Lord that is in me than the devil that is in this world.*That is what the Bible says. That is what the Lord Himself declares. Next time your mind blows the devil out of proportion, take control of your mind but reminding yourself that greater is the Lord in you. Take an inventory of everything that is bad in your life and push God’s truth against that list. Say “Greater is the Lord that is in me than the bills that are piling up in front fo me.” You can also say “Greater is the Lord that is in me than the anxiety that is fighting against me.” Anything that is bad and evil is not greater than Jesus. Jesus died on the cross and conquered death. The enemy, the devil is under the umbrella of death. He was defeated. Jesus in you is greater! You have nothing to worry about. The enemy might be blowing fear into your heart but the One who is sitting in your heart is more powerful. Give the Lord a chance to dominate your heart, your feelings and your emotions. You can do that by proclaiming that He is bigger and greater that anything that is against you.

So many strongholds are formed in our minds when we keep rehearsing bad scenarios and when we dwell on our problems. Nothing can get resolved when we visit our problems over and over again. They can appear bigger and they can foster other problems that did not exist in the first place. When we are aware of how powerful the Lord and we get ahold of that truth, we are on the right path. Now the goal is to use that truth and not let it sit in us. It has to be expressed and it has to be sustained. Greater is the Lord that is in us but the enemy is relentless and he knows that if he can weaken our minds and glorify himself in our heads, he has won the battle. He has not won. Jesus won. As bad as things may seem, they can be reversed and they can be changed by our Lord almighty. There is a lot of peace in the Lord and His peace can transform all situations. When things are not going well and my head feels like it’s going to explode, I call on the peace of the Lord. I understand the importance of calming the storm within so I can better deal with the problems that I am facing. Problems have a way of paralyzing our thinking and our bodies but when God’s peace enters the scene, hope is set in motion again. God’s peace is greater than the confusion and the chaos of the enemy. Ask for peace. You will get stronger and your faith in God being greater will increase.

Are we willing to believe God or are we going to buy into the enemy’s lies? His lies like I implied earlier, magnify him and they can be intimidating. God is the One who intimidates the devil. The devil doesn’t want you and me to discover that truth. Remember that Jesus destroyed the plans of the enemy on the cross. It is a done deal and whoever believes it will reap the benefits. There is a harvest of blessings that come from trusting that greater is the Lord in you than the enemy that is in the world. Go for the biggest harvest you can get. Go for healing. Go for debt cancellation. Go for peace. Go for joy. Go for blind faith. Go for the impossible. Greater is the Lord that is in you and the enemy can’t stop you because you are filled with the love that changes the world. Friday night might be here now and you can’t see how you will make it to Sunday but you have the One who bridges the gap between life and death so your Sunday is coming. Rejoice. Jesus is greater than any problems you might face. Stay encouraged and keep standing in faith. May God bless you and protect you and remember that He will always love you!

God brought you this far

God brought you this far. He is not going to let you down. He is not going to drop you. He is not going to leave you stranded. He will finish the good work He started in you. He will finish the good work in your life. Don’t give up! God is still working with you. God is still working on your situation. Keep the faith! There are some great things coming your way because God is making a way where you thought there was no way. It sounds cliche but it also sounds like Jesus. That is what He will always say. He will always say that He is way, the truth and the life. When you have Him, you always find your way out of trouble. You always have hope of better days. Those better days are not too far. Hold on a little longer. Show your faith longer. I understand that obstacles and hurdles seem to be all over the place and you can’t see good things in your future. Just because you can’t see them doesn’t mean that they are not ahead of you. Jesus has gone before you and He has laid out everything you need and He will provide for you. Don’t look at what you don’t have. In Him you have all you need. There are blessings today that might be invisible to you but with faith they can be revealed. God is by your side and He is going to take you places you had never thought existed. He brought you this far and He will guide you to a destination that is so peaceful and so good that it will blow your mind and surpass your understanding. God is not done blessing you. He is not done carrying you!

When I look back and see how far I have come I can’t help but thank the Lord. He is the One who has made so many things possible in my life. I have a better awareness of His work in my life and of His plan. Good things in my life have not been coincidences or luck. It’s been Jesus all along and He is here to stay. I know that when things get complicated and difficult, we are under the impression that God is done. We feel like He has left and He has moved on to other people. That is not how God is. In His Word He promised that He would never leave us nor forsake us. He also said that He was the same yesterday, today and forever. Your future is still in His hands. Your present is blessed by His presence. God doesn’t give up. God doesn’t turn around when He sees difficulties on the way. He destroys what tries to destroy us. God has the ability to do the incredible and to do the less expected. Faith connects us to Him and it gives us the hope and confidence that God is sovereign all the time. Express your faith today. Tell yourself that God is still God and that He has brought you this far and He will get you to the finish line. There is nothing to fear and nothing to be worried about. Worry won’t move you forward. It will always stall you and hurt you.

I have no idea what you are going through today. I am telling you to keep the faith and you might think that it is a tall order. You feel like you have given your best to this thing called faith and you have run out of it. Look to Jesus. He is the author of your faith. Faith is in His power, His truth, His love, His abilities, His sovereignty, and His omnipotence. You are not trying to have faith in your ability to make things happen. Your faith is exalting the One who died for the world and who came back to life. Revive your vision of Jesus. Go back to His Word. Read about Him. Read Him. Revisit Him. Relearn Him. He is the deliverer, the ruler of the universe and the King of kings. He wants you to stay in fellowship with Him and trust that your journey is not over. He is with you on the journey and He created this journey for you. Think about that! He made this plan just for you and He will see it through. You have made it this far thanks to Jesus and He is going to help you finish this amazing adventure. Keep your hopes up. May God bless you and protect you and remember that He will always love you!

The Lord is your Shepherd

“The Lord is my Shepherd; I shall not want.”* This verse is taken from Psalm 23, a Psalm I read every day. It is encouraging, comforting and uplifting. It is a promise from the Lord that we should look at by considering who the main subject is here. Is the main subject “The Lord” or “I”? I used to focus on the “I” part of the verse and on what I was getting out of that promise. The promise is for us but The Lord is the One we should zero in on. The Lord is our provider. He is our keeper and our protector. A shepherd takes care of his flock and he watches over every single one of his sheep with a lot of attention. He makes sure that everyone is safe. The Lord does exactly that with you, friend. He is your Shepherd and He watches over you and makes sure you are safe wherever you go. Today I want to encourage you to think of the Shepherd and what He does in your life. Think about His role as Shepherd and what that implies in your life. He is always around you. He is always ready to protect you and to help you. You are safe. You are protected and you are shielded by the Lord almighty. Don’t fear. God is with you and He will give you what you need. You will not want!

Have you ever been in situations where you didn’t have enough of everything? You need money. You need more time. You need more peace. You need more joy. You need more love. When we remember that Jesus is our provider, we often think about money and material things being given to us. He can certainly provide for us in the material realm but He can give us more than money, objects and materials. The Shepherd looks at all our needs and He gives us what is best for us at the moment. When we rely on Him, we lack nothing. There are times when we want money and we have to wait a long time but in the meantime He gives us peace and joy. He also gives us another way to look at our situation or another way to look at the world around us. The Good Shepherd does a wonderful job in us when we yield to His direction and to His command. When we let Him take over our plate of anxiety that is too full, He replaces it with a meal of serenity and peace. The Lord is the best provider there is because He will always fill our cup to the brim with the best things we need at the time. The Shepherd always knows best!

The Lord promised that you would lack nothing. That is a promise you can rely on and you can hold close to your heart. Take that promise seriously and be sure that your faith in it grows. Put the promise to the test by proclaiming that it is real and it is for you even when you have little. Don’t look at what you don’t have. Stare at the Shepherd and thank Him for what you have in Him. He has all you will ever need. Declare that you trust Him and that all your needs are meant in Him. Peace is available to you. Joy is there for you. Love is present. The Shepherd is full of everything that is pure, noble and good and He is always willing to give it to you. What seems like a lack today is an opportunity to demonstrate your faith in the One who will provide for you all the time. Don’t worry about anything but in all things let your needs be known to the Lord. The Shepherd is following you and He is also before you. You are surrounded by the Lord. Enjoy His love and His presence. Enjoy the Provider who will make sure you lack nothing! May God bless you and protect you and remember that He will always love you!

Faith gets you closer to God

I often talk about the peace of the Lord because it is something that has made me feel closer to God. It is so powerful and so out of this world that I see it as a footprint from the Lord on my life. He leaves footprints on my life from time to time to remind me that He is there. They are also like winks from Heaven. Winks that tell me, “Don’t worry, the Lord is always with you.” You see, I used to look for signs and for feelings that demonstrated that the Lord was around. I relied on how I felt to know that God was present. The truth is that He is always there and He never leaves us even when we don’t feel anything or we don’t have any signs. Looking for signs all the time can be very deceiving because most of the time we “don’t feel” God. How do we know that He is there then? By faith. Faith is the assurance that God is present and that He is active in our lives. Faith is a form a vision. We see beyond the natural and we see into the supernatural or the impossible. Faith gives us a new eye sight. A new and better way of looking at life. Faith doesn’t rest on what we see with our eyes or what we feel with our bodies. We know God is there when we have faith and we don’t need anything tangible or visual to be sure of His existence. Faith is extremely powerful. Faith creates great things into our lives. When we have faith, we have access to the miraculous, the impossible and the supernatural. Faith is what we should pursue and grow in our lives.

“Now faith is confidence in hat we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.”* What do you hope for? We all hope for many different things. As Christians, I would say that one of the things we should hope for is a closer relationship with the Lord. We can attain this intimate relationship by faith. Two people get closer when they spend time together. Let’s spend more time with God by faith. Let’s set time aside knowing that God is with us during those times. We don’t have to feel Him or to hear Him right away. We just have to trust that He is with us and that He is listening to us. He is very talkative and by faith we can hear Him. How? God doesn’t contradict His Word so what we hear on the inside that is connected to the Word of God is God talking to us. We need to have faith in what He says and in what we hear. We should live by faith and not by sight so our lives should reflect our belief that God is with us and that He is interested in a relationship with us. With faith we can please God. Faith shows us that God is real, that He loves us and that we ought to follow His lead. Faith gets us closer to the Lord. Faith is a connector, a bridge between God and us.

And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to Him use believe that He exists and that He rewards those who earnestly seek Him.”** Faith connects you to God like I said earlier and it shows you that your God exists and He is with you all the time. When we rely on our feelings and our moods as indicators that God exists, we focus on the wrong source. Our knowing that God exists should be faith-based because our emotions and moods will change all the time. A characteristic of faith is that it doesn’t waver no matter how we feel. Faith is in the heart and it influences our minds. Let your faith be stronger than your feelings. Develop faith by spending time in the Word of God. Faith comes from hearing and hearing from the Word of God. You can’t have more faith if you have little of the Word of God in you. My prayer is that your faith is so strong that you know without a doubt that God is with you, for you and in you. Faith gets you closer to God, friend. Believe He is there. Trust He will never leave you. Do it by faith. His peace and His joy are bonuses that are reminders of His presence but faith should be your main point of contact with the Lord. May God bless you and protect you and remember that He will always love you!

Expect God every day

I love the start of a new week. I love new beginnings. I love new days, new weeks, new months and new years. However, I don’t wait for a new start to challenge myself or to trust that God can do something different in my life. Yes, He is the God of new beginnings and His mercies are new every day. I am so thankful for that and I praise the Lord for His new mercies. I do believe that God can act at any point in my life and I don’t have to wait for a new day or a new year to have great expectations. I expect God all the time. I expect Him to act on my behalf any time. I expect His blessings to follow me wherever I go and whenever. I don’t have to wait around for something new to happen. God is here now. His love is here now. His power is here now. His blessings are here now. You and I have the creator of the universe on our sides and He loves to bless us. I know that if we have faith in His blessings, they will flood our lives. God loves us more than we know and He wants rivers of blessings to be present in our lives. We need to learn how to flow with that truth so that we embark on the boat of joy and peace that floats on His rivers of blessings. Today could be a new beginning for you. Today could be the day you begin to trust that God wants you to be blessed all the time. I encourage you to expect God any time of the day and any day of the week.

I remember loving Sundays as a teenager because I could go to church. I used to go far to attend a church where I found what I needed at the time spiritually. I basically lived for Sundays. I knew I would encounter God on that day and I loved how my Sundays gave me the strength to face the new week. I had the wrong approach. I put God in the “Sunday box.” He was limited in my mind because He could only show up in my life on Sunday. I had a vision of a limited God that I could truly only interact with on Sunday. My Sundays with God helped me deal with Monday. At least with part of Monday because by the end of Monday I was usually back to my old defeated self. Did I pray during the week? I did but my prayers were rot and they sounded rehearsed. I didn’t know how to connect with God outside of Sundays. I didn’t except God during the week other than some ripple effects from my Sunday worship and prayer time. We should expect God all the time, friend. Sundays are great days to praise the Lord but so are all the other days of the week. We can expect God’s peace every day. We can expect God’s joy every day. We can expect God’s blessings all the time. We should expect God at all times.

I saw a big shift in my spiritual life when I decided to praise the Lord on a daily basis. I remember actually starting doing that on a Monday. I held my own private praise and prayer sessions in the morning and at night. I brought church home so to speak and within a few days, I had encounters with the presence of the Lord. He visited me every day and I was open to His love and His direction. The Holy Spirit opened the eyes of my spirit and I was all about Jesus. I expected the Lord to inhabit my praises all the time. I read my Bible every day. I prayed a lot more and I established a beautiful relationship with the Lord. I expected Him to be the God of the Bible 24/7 and that is what happened. I had dreams, visions, bouts of joy and peace and I was addicted to Jesus. I expected Him to bless me every day and to help me deal with every single day. I knew that problems would still arise but I expected God to give me the victory. Today I still expect God every day. I still pray and worship all the time and it makes my life so much better. God is not just here on Sunday. Expect Him every day, dear friend. It will change your life for the better. Expect God’s blessings all the time. Ride the waves of His peace every single day. May God bless you and protect you and remember that He will always love you!

Living Hope

I call Jesus my living hope. He is very much present every day. He is more alive than anyone I know. He is part of my life and He makes my life so much better. He is the light that never goes dark. The life that injects more life into my life. He is God. He is the King of Kings. He is the best friend you and I can have. He is family. He is the head of the family. He is beauty incarnated and love personified. My living Hope is with me all the time and I am working on making this more and more of a reality. He doesn’t need to work on His end. He is all set. We are the ones who need to work on getting closer to Him and on believing how real He is. It is so easy to get bogged down by life and to drift away from our living Hope. We are way too familiar with the living despair. He is the opposite of the living Hope and he gets into our lives easily. It is time we magnified our living Hope and we minimized the living despair. Jesus won against the enemy. His hope is stronger than the despair of the enemy. Let’s walk hand in hand with our living Hope. Let’s give Him the time of day and let’s push despair out of our minds and out of our hearts.

To them God has chosen to make known among the Gentiles the glorious riches of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.”* You believe in Jesus so you have the hope of glory in you. You have hope living in you. The living hope that is with you all the time is more powerful than your problems and your trials. However, if you don’t engage with the living Hope, if you are not familiar with Him, the Hope will not help you. It won’t do anything for you. It’s like having a treasure in a chest and never using it or never even looking at it. What good would it be to have millions if you didn’t  understand that they are yours to use? I am not saying that you should use Jesus. No, I am saying that the aware of His presence can fill you with joy and hope and we should use that awareness. His presence is a permanent fixture that we don’t always take into consideration. Some people “feel” that God has left them. He hasn’t but the distractions and the priorities they have are not conducive to communicating with God or to being aware of Him. There is a strong need for daily interaction with the living Hope. We can learn so much from Him and we are meant to worship Him. We should be worshiping Jesus every day. That habit takes us to a higher level in our relationship with Him. He reveals Himself when we praise Him. He inhabits our praises. The living Hope that we long for is right there in our praises. Let’s lift Him up.

“I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of His glorious inheritance in His holy people”** We can be enlightened and receive the revelation of the hope that is in us. I want to be hopeful all the time and make sure that my hope comes from the living Hope who gives away His blessings freely. The living Hope is precious. Jesus is precious. I love that He makes His home in our hearts through His Spirit. We are so fortunate. We are so blessed and we should know that the hope that is always by our side makes our lives easier. We should tap into the power of the living Hope. Hope is what we should wear every day. We should react to life with the living Hope. Let’s divorce discouragement and let’s be married to the living Hope that is in us. Life is hard. Life can be extremely hard but the living Hope never dies and He can make anything better. Dear friend, there is always hope. The living Hope can change anything in your life. Hang on to hope. Hold on to Jesus. You have everything you need because you have Jesus, the living Hope! May God bless you and protect you and remember that He will always love you!

Run to joy

There is joy in the house of the Lord. There is no sadness and no grief in the Lord. He is a joyful Lord. I forget that at times. I don’t want to forget anymore. My source of joy is the Lord. I find joy in Jesus. My relationship with Him brings me joy. He is the king of joy and I will keep that in the forefront of my life. It is so easy to lose joy and to be defeated. One piece of news and all the joy is gone. One word, one thought and joy is nowhere to be found. It is during those times when we lose joy that we should be looking for it and running after it. I have run away from joy way too many times in my life because I either thought I didn’t deserve it or I didn’t feel like embracing it. You see, that is part of the enemy’s plan. He wants us all to run away from joy or to stay away from it.

Joy is a fruit of the Spirit and when we don’t have joy, we are not giving the Holy Spirit a chance to spread His wings in us. Why should we have joy when things are not going well? That is a question the enemy uses to poison our thinking. He tries to make us feel guilty. There should be no guilt in being joyful in the midst of our trials. It is actually recommended behavior in the Word of God. The joy of the Lord is our strength. When everything is chaotic, we shouldn’t run away from our strength. We should run to it. We should run to the Lord in all circumstances, good or bad. Today I want to encourage you to run to joy. No matter what is going on in your life, run to joy. Run to Jesus!

What does running to joy look like? Where can we find joy when we don’t feel joyful at all? Jesus is joy. That was a hard reality for me growing up because I thought He was very somber and serious. He is the opposite. He radiates with joy and He is the incarnation of joy. Running to joy is running to Jesus. When I don’t feel well and joy seems to have vanished, I open my Bible. That is a safe place for me to find Jesus. I love reading the four Gospels and I focus on the red writings in my Bible. They are the words of Jesus. I read them and I meditate on them. I read them with the filter of love in mind. Love is behind everything Jesus says and does.

When I look at Jesus’ words, I sense the love and I sense peace. I also find joy in His words. There are so many encouraging promises in what He says and that encouragement fills me with joy. I tap into the joy of the Lord when I dive into His Word and I am grounded and at peace. Jesus is joy and running to Him means running away from anxiety and from fear. Running to joy means running to the strength that can get us all through the worst situations. When the going gets tough, we need joy. We need to connect with the King of joy and spend time with Him.

I spend time with Jesus every day. I enter His gates with gladness. My worship and praise sessions are filled with joy. When life tries to depress me, I get into praise mode. At first I have to fight though the emotions and the negative thoughts that attempt to paralyze me. I declare that I am not tied down to despair but I am slave to God’s joy. His joy haunts me. It invades me and it overwhelms me. I can’t get down on myself when the joy of the Lord is all around me. That amazing experience happens when I praise and glorify the Lord. That is how I run to joy. I run to joy through singing and celebrating. I do it when I don’t feel like it. It is the sacrifice of praise and it is always worth it.

I run to joy by removing the sadness that is in the way. I can’t do it on my own. Jesus helps me and He blesses me with joy when I stick with Him and hold on tight to His love. Run to joy, today, friend. There is great power in the Lord’s joy. It is hard to connect to it at times but don’t give up. Keep pressing and keep running after His joy. You will be blessed and you will find strength. May God bless you and protect you and remember that He will always love you!

You are in good hands

Yesterday morning as I was getting ready for the day, some busy thoughts tried to occupy my mind. I rejected them. I knew I needed to pray. The thoughts were about things I had to take care of but the more I came up with things to do, the more my mind was overwhelmed. I also heard despair say, “How are you going to be able to do all this?” Before I even started praying the Lord spoke to my heart softly and said’ “But you are in good hands!” I am in good hands. I am in God’s hands. It is something I have known for a while but yesterday morning, it truly resonated. It hit me so strongly and it made me smile. Friend, we have Jesus. We are in good hands. We are in God’s hands. We can easily forget that when our minds get overwhelmed. What we need to do is overwhelm our minds with Jesus. He is the only One who can get us out of those paralyzing states of mind. He is the One who can remove worry and give us peace that is bigger than the lies of the enemy. The thoughts I was facing were lies but they appeared to be reality. They are reality in this world but the Lord we serve is out of this world and He is much more powerful than any negativity that lives in the world. I held on to the promise that I was in God’s hands all day yesterday.

When something bad arose yesterday, I used those simple yet powerful words. I said “I am in good hands because I am in God’s hands.” When I first started my current job, I had a great mentor. She went above and beyond to make sure that I was learning a lot and that I had all I needed. Some of my new colleagues asked me who my mentor was and when I told them, they all had the same reaction. They all said that I was in good hands. They were right. I was well-taken care of and I felt heard and respected. I knew I could always go to my mentor with questions and concerns and she always had a solution. Her positivity was through the roof. To hear her talk, you would think that nothing was impossible and there was always a way out of our most difficult situations. She believed that we could always find some help from somewhere.  When people ask us where our help comes from, we should automatically respond by saying that it comes from the Lord. We are in good hands with Jesus. We should constantly  introduce Jesus as our Savior. He is more than a mentor. His Spirit is a coach and counselor but He is not from this world so what He does is always excellent. Always expect excellence with the Lord. You are in excellent hands. You have an excellent Savior who has excellent answers and excellent solutions.

The Lord is like my mentor but exponentially bigger and better. He is in a category of His own. Not only can I go to Him with my questions and my concerns but I can rest assured that He already knows what they are. He is omnipotent, omnipresent and omniscient. He can do all things and nothing can stop Him. Being in His hands means that I will never fail and His love will always prevail. It doesn’t mean that I will never have problems. It means that He has dealt with all my problems ahead of time and faith in Him will always give me the victory. We are so blessed, friend, to be in God’s hands. It is the best place to be. We are safe in His hands and secure. When things get out of hand, remember whose hands are holding you. You can always rely on Jesus. You have nothing to worry about and nothing to fear. When bad thoughts come to mind, push them away with the reminder that you are in God’s hands. The enemy hates hearing that but it’s the truth. Let the Lord’s protective hands become your reality in the name of Jesus. May God bless you and protect you and remember that He will always love you!

Life with the Holy Spirit

God so loved the world that He gave His only Son. Every time I read that verse or every time it comes to mind, I can’t help but be grateful for what God did for us. It blows my mind that the Father gave His Son as a sacrifice so that we shouldn’t perish. Jesus died for our sins, for our inities and for our transgressions. Now, if we believe in Him and trust Him to be our Savior, not only are our sins forgiven but we are also given eternal life. Our spiritual life is locked in Heaven. We have the promise of a life with Christ. That life doesn’t start later. It starts the moment we accept Jesus as our Savior. That life is not better for some believers because they are special. We are all special in God’s eyes and we all have access to the eternal life the Lord bought for us.

What does that life look like? It is depicted in the Bible and it is best lived with the Holy Spirit. Every believer receives the Holy Spirit once he or she has Jesus as their Savior. Does that mean that eternal life is easy and we live on cloud 9 all the time? Absolutely not! One thing that is extremely important is that we acknowledge the Holy Spirit and we live our lives with Him. Many believers are not aware of the Holy Spirit. They know of Jesus but they don’t know His Spirit. The truth is we can’t know Jesus without the Holy Spirit. His Spirit is the One who connects us to Jesus. Today I want to encourage you to enjoy life with the Holy Spirit. Let Him be more real in your life. Give Him the room He deserves. Rejoice over the amazing gift of the Lord Jesus.

Jesus said He would send us His Spirit and His Spirit would dwell in us. How many of us are aware of the indwelling of the Holy Spirit? How many of us can say that we know the Spirit of Jesus? When I pray, I talk to the Holy Spirit. I often thank Jesus for His Spirit and then I thank the Holy Spirit for being my counselor, my comforter and my helper. The Lord is the Spirit. God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit are one. The Holy Spirit represents them in our lives. He is God standing by us and staying in us. The power of the Holy Spirit lives in us but if we ignore Him or if we don’t take Him into consideration, His power will not do us any good. What does His power do? It points out to Jesus.

The power of the Holy Spirit celebrates Jesus as Lord and Savior. We have the power to know Jesus. We have to power to link up with Jesus. Jesus asked the Father to send us the ultimate advocate to help us and to be with us forever. Thank Jesus for His Spirit. Declare every day that the power of the Holy Spirit is in you and that you will tap into His power to praise and worship Jesus. You have the power to magnify Jesus so do it as often as you can. Your flesh might be pulling you away from the Lord but you have what it takes to overcome the flesh and to praise the Lord at all times. Make it a habit to use the power of the Spirit in you to extol Jesus.

I mentioned that the Holy Spirit was a counselor, a comforter, an advocate and He is also a friend. He is alive. He is a person and He is the best person we can know. Why? Because like I said He always steers us in Jesus’ direction and He is God. Who wouldn’t want to have God within them all the time? We are God’s temple. That is such an honor and privilege. Living with the Holy Spirit should be the focus of our lives. Our everyday life should be marked by communicating with the Lord thanks to the Holy Spirit. We pray and talk to God through the power of the Holy Spirit. That is what His power does. Every time we are inclined to pray, it is the power of the Holy Spirit in us that is in action.

We don’t need lightening and thunder to take place for us to be motivated by the Spirit of God. He is gentle and kind and He won’t force us to lift up Jesus but He knocks on the door of our hearts and wants to come in. Let’s be sure to answer the door and give the Spirit of God the best seat in the house. The Spirit of God also pours God’s love in our hearts. It is a powerful outpouring that can be manifested if we yield to the Spirit. Friend, we have an amazing life thanks to Jesus. God gave His Son so we would have eternal life with His Spirit. Let’s involve the Spirit of God in all we do and let’s give Him first place. May God bless you and protect you and remember that He will always love you!
